Golf is airing Thursday and Friday. It starts after 2PM ET, so ET stations have to fill the Days slot with syndicated programming and infomercials, as yours did.
No Days for the rest of the country doesn’t give much viewership and certainly fewer ads bought during the time slot. Right now, Days is wayyyyy ahead anyway because they didn’t have the two week pre-emotion from the Olympics. This allows them to buy some time with the show so we don’t end up with Halloween on Oct. 1 or Christmas on Dec. 1.
they had enough unaired episodes to get through the first week in October. They supposedly started taping again September 1. Golf was on in some areas.
I don’t think this is a spoiler, but Missy Reeves will not be playing Jennifer when the new shows start airing. Apparently, she has a new grand baby and doesn’t want to put herself at risk flying back and forth from Tennessee. She has stated that once this Covid thing is more under control she may return.
It was supopsed to be for golf but they didn’t put golf on until 4. Didn’t quite get it. I didn’t care about two episodes of Access hollywood and whatever else they put on before 4.
They will sometimes preempt Days when a sports event is going to air in portions of the country (even though not all time zones are affected). So Eastern affiliates (or in the case on Friday, Central & Mountain affiliates as well) have to use filler programming such as syndicated shows or infomercials in place of Days.
