and I am as excited, nervous (in a good way) and optimistic for my Ravens and confident (as much as I can be) that Baltimore will pull off the win. Seems to me the teams are so very evenly matched, right down to the head coaches. I think it’s going to be a matter of NOT who plays the best, but who makes the least mistakes. Now I know what a cat on a hot tin roof feels like. I can’t stand or sit still just thinking about tomorrow. Good luck to both teams. Boy, I wouldn’t want to be Jack and Jackie Harbaugh. They’re going to have to congratulate one and console the other.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!
February 3, 2013 at 12:08 am #37590BonbonParticipantGood luck tomorrow. I just hope you won’t feel too bad if they lose. I’m sure you know the Niners are favored. It should be a very exciting game. I promise not to gloat when we win! ;0)
I’ll feel so bad for the brother that loses…it will be heartbreaking for them. What a position to be in.
* * * GO NINERS * * *
February 3, 2013 at 12:51 am #37591PattiParticipantI don’t believe we’ll ever see another Superbowl like this one in our lifetime. It will definitely be historic and I’m so happy you’re as into it as I am.
February 3, 2013 at 2:56 pm #37595caseyParticipantnot a turkey of a game. Recent SBs have lived up to their billing to be great matches. And I’m hoping the ads are better than last year. Have you seen the controversy over the Mercedes Benz “sexy” ad with Kate Upton? Not sure anyone is looking at the car!
February 3, 2013 at 4:25 pm #37599PattiParticipantbut I have seen a few of them, and some are really inappropriate for a game quite a lot of kids will be watching. Some of those godaddy.com adds don’t leave much to the imagination either.
February 3, 2013 at 6:00 pm #37601maxineParticipantBoth teams has kicked the Broncos butt but I am also a AFC fan so… Go Ravens !!!.. I am thinking its going to be a GOOD game Good luck to both you ladys Bonbon and Patti on your teams.
February 3, 2013 at 6:23 pm #37604BonbonParticipantthis year’s Budweiser commercial, I think this one is going to be the star. I have shed many tears over some of their ads and I think this is going to be another. It’s about a guy and his Clydesdale colt.
I don’t think anything GoDaddy has done, or is doing this year, is any more graphic or suggestive than the Victoria Secret fashion show and that’s a whole hour. Not that I condone it. They are know for pushing the envelope.
They had a program the other night of little snippets of this year’s ads and some of them look pretty good. I agree, last year’s were a let-down.
February 3, 2013 at 6:31 pm #37606PattiParticipantI just love it when my women friends are into football. LOL!
February 3, 2013 at 8:26 pm #37607BonbonParticipantThe mayor of Cupertino (CA) had his office in the building I managed and was very involved with the 49ers. He went to all their meetings, etc. and would always fill me in when he came back. He’d go through my office instead of the front door of the building. I learned so much about them and became a really strong fan.
I’ve kind of lost interest since I’ve moved to Florida (plus the mayor passed away…he emailed me after I left) so I’m not as "up" on them as I was but I’ll probably always be a fan. Of course along with the Packers…from the state of my birth. (Which reminds me, what happened Bono, she is from Madison?)
February 3, 2013 at 11:01 pm #37610caseyParticipantthe Bud one. Being a horse lover I have long enjoyed the Clydesdales. One of my all time favs is the horses playing football.
February 4, 2013 at 1:33 am #37611BonbonParticipantOkay, Patti, I concede. That was some touchdown…a record even. You deserve the glory. Party on, girl, party on!
February 4, 2013 at 2:48 am #37613BonbonParticipantMight have to retract that. Now 23 – 28. They’re on fire.

February 4, 2013 at 4:47 am #37615caseyParticipantI bet many thought lights out for SF before the power outage but I knew better. Then Niners really gave Ravens all they could handle but as I have said all postseason, this was a Cinderella Year for Baltimore. Almost like fate. And I still can’t get over how Flacco blossomed as the season wore on.
PS: Loved the Clydesdale Ad!
Congrats Patti and all Baltimore fans – Enjoy this oh so special SB victory!February 4, 2013 at 11:25 am #37618BonbonParticipantThings probably would have gone much differently if they hadn’t fallen so far behind in the first half. But then, they may not have come back fighting so hard in the second. Who knows. It was a well-played, well-fought and well-earned game. I will say though, watch out next year. I think the Niners are going be a team to be reconned with.
Patti, enjoy your victory but don’t party too much. :o) You are a loyal fan and deserve your reward. Congratulations to all.
I was a little disappointed in the brothers’ exchange at the end of the game. I was hoping for a little more emotion. Just a "congratulations"? Come on, that’s your brother.
On the other hand, loved the Clydesdale commercial (as always). Not the best ever but close and very emotional. Those horses are just so awsome.
