Chef Forgieone won!!! YAY! I was so happy! I fell asleep through it so I have to go back and watch it, i only woke up at the end to see him win!
November 22, 2010 at 4:40 pm #1836153tdogsParticipantyou were jumpin’ up and down and cheering! He did deserve to win – he was innovative (sp?) with all his presentations and cooked "outside the box" all the time. And I think he will fit right in with the other chefs and hold his own with them. I don’t think that turkey dinner that Chef Canore cooked looked appetizing or tasty at all…or his rissoto –
November 22, 2010 at 6:10 pm #18365NoraParticipantChef Canora just got on my nerves. ugh. he was too whinny. where did the parchment paper go?? LOL! yeah Chef Forgeione is my new favorite Iron Chef! Sorry Michael! He’s my 2nd now. He’s entertaining like the other chefs too. Unlike Chef Garses. I wonder how long they’ll keep him around if he keeps loosing battles? Mario Batali must have retired. Chef Canora sounded like a good cook, but my cutie ….you’re right was more outside the box. Canora was too traditional to be an Iron chef. I’d love to go to his resturant! but YaY! I watched the battle today on my dvr! I’m not deleting it either. lol. I woke up last night at just the right time!
November 22, 2010 at 6:31 pm #1836853tdogsParticipantand present – that would be fun! And bring the contestants who lost on as judges – now that would be a twisty! Anything food related in life for me is a good thing, it’s my "only" vice these days…well, that and Salem Place.
November 22, 2010 at 10:57 pm #18378NoraParticipantDid you see the previews that they are starting a new Worst cooks in america competition? I think it said January. yeah that would be a cool battle. that one judge on Chopped did an iron chef competition. the grey haired guy, he usually sits on the end by the host. also both Alex and the other one with the long hair, sort of blondish, man i can think of names right now! she was on the last The next iron chef competition. Then there’s Aaron. I cant wait til they start new Chef’s Vs Cities show and Dinner Impossible. I didnt start watching that til last year. I love food network but non of my friends watch it so i cant talk about it with any one so I think it’s cool I can finally have someone to discuss it with! LOL!
November 23, 2010 at 1:10 am #1838953tdogsParticipantWorst cooks!!! NOW that my dear will be a hoot! How will they pick the winner on that one? The first judge who hurls??? LOL!!!
I love Chef Vs City!!! My only complaint about that is Aaron and Chris (or is it Kris?) win about 90% of the time – I want to see the other chefs win more! Especially since they seem to have an advantage over knowing the city they are in.
I’ve watched DI a number of times…it is amazing what dishes they come up with for a zillion people in a small time frame. I’d like them to go to individual homes and russel something up for dinner (think there was a show like that at one time)…but I’d like to see them make a meal out of an average pantry/fridge for a family of four for dinner.
I haven’t watched a lot of the Cooking channel but I have it now too – LOVE-LOVE-LOVE Food NetWork! Only cooking for myself for the last eight years, not having the chance to cook as much is something that I miss. And it is also one of the few channels I can watch t.v. without having to listen to constant cussing or seeing porn (I can go to my local airport now and see that – LOL).
November 23, 2010 at 1:31 am #18390NoraParticipantMe too, I’m obsessed with foodnetwork. I get foodnetwork magazine. it’s great, you’d love it.
Worst cooks in america was good, Chef Anne Burrell, That chick with the spiky blonde hair, her show is Cook like a resturant chef, and the other Chef on there was Beau something. but I just went to the page and he isnt the other judge its going to be robert Irvine! I like him alot better. Anne Burrell is alittle strange, but I still like watching her. They pick the 25 worst chefs in america, then put them through a cooking bootcamp. just like any other competition show, they send them home til there’s 2 left. then a cooking showoff. it was pretty good.
I dont get Cooking channel unfortunately, i’d probably watch it all the time too. maybe i can get that channel for my birthday! lol. Do you have it? That Kelsey girl from the next foodnetwork star has a show on there now. I’m sure there was a show like thatone out there sometime. they go into peoples homes and fridges. i actually think it wasnt that long ago.
IT’s Chris by the way for the chef on chef vs city.
it’s so fun talkin about foodnetwork! LOL!

November 23, 2010 at 2:24 am #1839253tdogsParticipantI had a movie channel for a special treat but never watched it because I like the classic old movies ala Cary Grant and John Wayne instead of Hugh Grant and Keean Ivory Wayne’s movies, so I "traded" with the cable company and got National Geographic and those kinds of learning and educational channels (which I watch all the time), for the same money and Cooking channel came with the package. I haven’t watched Cooking channel all that much yet, but it seems they have a lot of good shows.
My local grocery store has a magazine that they give out that has great receipes in it – called "Something Extra" – this month they had a gingerbread man on the cover and when you scratched his belly – it smelled like gingerbread cookies! Clever! http://www.raleys.com/cfapps/se_flash/something_extra_digital.cfm
Hope you can open site up.
November 23, 2010 at 4:42 am #18393NoraParticipantThere look like there alot of good shows on cooking channel. there’s on on there called Bitchin kitchin, well she looks like the runner up in the worst cooks in america! I swear she was. I’d have to look up her name to find out. i didnt like her. the winner i liked, she was a really dumpy little girl. she was jewish. with big old glasses and everything. she turned out to be a really good cook in the end. which is the point.
November 23, 2010 at 5:39 pm #1841053tdogsParticipantI like to watch what other people from other cultures are cooking but with the same kinds of foods that we use only in a different way…like yogart, chicken, veggies used in a different way than I am used to cooking it.
November 25, 2010 at 10:47 pm #18457NoraParticipantI think they are having a Thanksgiving Chopped episode on sunday. I think I’m not 100% certain. but I do know that Chef Cutiepie is having his first battle sunday! Cutiepie is easier to spell than his name! LOL!
November 26, 2010 at 12:32 am #1845853tdogsParticipantsounding receipe a dear ol’ "Days" friend shared with me: Sounds yummy! I’d already had dinner made by the time she sent it to me but I’m going to try it for Christmas dinner!
