So I’m in the middle of moving and no TVs are available. I’m watching on my iPad, so NBC has it available one day behind. Anyway, I just watched Thursday’s show. I think I could have lived without most of it. Sami and EJ, yuck! She was over the top! Who directed that non-sensical argument? Sorry, nut that was some of the worst acting I’ve seen in a long time. Then they topped it off with that "beat me into submission sex on the gross couch" scene. I was ready to vomit. Dan and Jenn, what a snooze fest! Lets move on. I couldn’t care less if those two ever see each other again. And please, get Jennifer a new hair stylist. I hate her hair parted in the middle and plastered down in a pony tail. I’m not into bratty Teresa either. She’s the female JJ to me and I’ve been wanting him gone since he arrived. The only person I absolutely love, love, love watching is Father Eric. Thank goodness Days has him because that entire show would have been a wash without him.
July 14, 2013 at 6:25 am #40369UhSirParticipantThe only story that keeps me watching right now is Eric’s. Oh my! Just when I think I have it figured out… And it doesn’t help that I’m torn between him staying a priest and not.
As for Sami and EJ, I’m more interested in where EJ and Stefano and Chad will end up. I’m thinking Stefano will "pass the hat" but too whom? Sami needs to tone herself down and grow up! I know I don’t have much right to complain since I stopped watching mid-80s until just before the Horton Square week but NO character on ANY show is THAT critical and THAT unchangeable.
Dan and Jenn, I like them together. I was really liking Jack and am still sad that they killed him off…but did they really? But anyway, the story here and now, gah! Keeping them apart like this so 80s! Get real Days and put them together and make the kids DEAL WITH IT. Then bring Jack back. Muwahaha!
As for the JJ and Theresa stuff, it’s summertime, kid stuff and short-lived.
P.S. personal note to self: check with hair stylist about low-maintenance alternatives to plastered down pony tails. LOL!
July 14, 2013 at 9:32 am #40370BonbonParticipantBut I don’t have a problem with Jenn’s ponytail. I think, for the most part, her hair always looks nice. They’ve tried a couple of doozies on her but they do that with Sami also. Maybe that’s why they (hair and make-up) are award winners.
(UhSir, nice to see you back with us again.)
July 14, 2013 at 1:34 pm #40373PattiParticipantI actually like the ponytails on both Jennifer and on Sami. I also like their hair down, full, and semi-curled as opposed to flat and parted down the middle. I also hated that bun thing that Sami was wearing for a couple weeks in a row a while back. To me those are unattractive and unflattering to these very beautiful gals. I’ve seen Nicole in some unattractive hairdos as well, and lordy lordy, who looked any worse this week than Adrienne? I don’t know what kind of look she was trying to pull off, but it sure didn’t work for me. However, for the most part, DOOL has beautiful actresses who can make do with a hairstyle that most of us would look atrocious to even attempt to pull off. I think makeup is a big part of Melissa’s drawn look at times. No lipstick or very pale lipstick can make a person look sick, and sometimes Jennifer appears to look ill to me. Oh, well, maybe when we begin to see the results of Lauren Koslow’s husband’s takeover of hair and makeup, we’ll see some improvements.
July 14, 2013 at 2:29 pm #40375mommytutuParticipantTrust me its even worse on an iPad. Her hair is so tightly pulled back, that it gives me a headache. Missy and I are about the same age, so my next comment is not ageist. With her hair pulled back so tightly, all I see is sun damage and wrinkles. And when she hasn’t colored her hair, that gray streak down the middle just washes her out. I think if she’s going to wear a ponytail it should be softer or swept to the side. And I definitely agree that the need to brighten up her makeup. They are doing a great job making her look old, and we’re not old.
July 16, 2013 at 1:24 pm #40387DCola522ParticipantI actually really like Jennifer’s hair in the ponytail she’s been sporting the last few days! It looks sleek and I think it suits her. I also like when she wears it down and straight… middle parts are the style now and so is pin straight hair! I always love Sami’s hair best when it’s straight, too. Not a fan of curls or waves on her, usually.
July 22, 2013 at 1:44 am #40497UhSirParticipantI don’t remember any styles on Jennifer that I haven’t liked. If my memory is good, she’s always done up in something simple. At least relatively simple? I also think it reflects her state of mind. She’s got so much stuff messing her up right now, the hair is just gonna hafta be easy.
P.S. Thanks for missing me, Bonbon. Things have been crazy and just when I thought I caught up I have to go offline for another two weeks. Arrrgh!!July 22, 2013 at 1:55 am #40498UhSirParticipantThat’s me! I have baby-fine, straight hair and LOTS OF IT! The heat really builds up when I leave it down and the only relief is to pull it up into a ponytail.
Good to hear my hair is finally in style! LOL, not that I really ever let that matter.
