Ben’s possessiveness is downright creepy. And if I were planning to marry someone I’d want to check out the house and have a say.

September 16, 2015 at 2:13 am #48436PattiParticipantbecause I do think Kate Mansi is doing a good job in the acting department, but I just can’t for the life of me knowing that this is not all Ben’s fault. Sure, he’s possessive and jealous, but I have to ask myself does he have good reason? My answer is simply, hell, yeah, he does! Abbey is holding onto a lie, and not just to Ben but to herself as well. It’s not Ben setting Chad up for these murders; it’s Ben’s dear ole’ dad. But, Abbey will not keep that promise to Ben about not going to Chad again, and it’s these actions on her part that will drive him over the edge completely. My sympathy lies with both Ben and Chad in this story, which I truly dislike by the way, because Abbey continues to be deceiptful to both of them. Ugh, just can’t stand this girl. Wonder how her mother and brother would feel if they knew Chad DiMera was more important to her to run to instead of her family when she realized Paige was murdered. But, of course, they will forgive her actions because she is the Golden Child in their eyes. She’s a dirtbag in mine!
September 16, 2015 at 2:56 am #48438caseyParticipantis forgiving his dear ol’ dad for what was set up as his being such a wicked father (who likely killed his wife) and making Jordan believe she was the one. And now believing Clyde is such an upstanding citizen.
For sure Abby has played both guys, not to mention EJ before them so she’s hardly a gem herself. But I have a feeling the new writing team wants to forget that history and now create Abby as more victim to the darker Ben and supporting the innocent Chad who I’m sure is the real dad.September 16, 2015 at 11:44 am #48439mommytutuParticipantall the flags should have gone up when he told her he had been tracking her on her cell phone.
September 16, 2015 at 12:23 pm #48440bluebonnetParticipantmade me really mad yesterday when she got so upset with Ben for tracking her and distrusting her when she gave him every reason in the world to do so! She was the one who committed the biggest wrong; has she forgotten that? I was wishing that Ben would let her know that he knew about her fling with Chad, but then again, Abby would probably find a way to blame him and complain that he was spying on Chad and her.
September 16, 2015 at 12:32 pm #48441TFlo1018ParticipantI sorta agree with you. But then you could argue the "blood is thicker than water thing." Who else does Ben really have now? I agree with you but ya know… devils advocate.
I don’t blame Ben one bit for not trusting "Abs." I mean – sure, he’s a little nuts. And sure – I’d probably FLIP OUT if my man tracked my phone. But, as we say in sales, past performance predicts future behavior. Abs has proven to be a bit of a whore AND a liar – so………… I can’t say I blame Ben but then why are you WILLINGLY going into this relationship is beyond me? But then again – if he didn’t it wouldn’t be a soap LOL
September 16, 2015 at 12:33 pm #48442caseyParticipantsaid (was it to Kayla?) that she thought maybe something was wrong with her in not being able to control her desires? I wondered if maybe Days would pursue this angle, but I guess not.
But right or wrong it does seem like Days is going to pit Ben the controller over Abby gravitating toward bio dad Chad.
Whatever the reason, tracking someone’s move doesn’t sit well with me. Ben should have just confronted her with the cheating and take it from there.September 16, 2015 at 4:09 pm #48444PattiParticipantJordan kept that from Ben and never revealed it to him. So Ben has no reason, so far, to suspect Clyde of that accusation. To me, he hated his father as much if not more than Jordan did because of his physical abuse to them when they were young. He finally grew to forgive his father, wrongly, of course, for that abuse but just believed that Jordan never could. I’m sure if Ben knew the whole truth about Clyde and what he did to Jordan, he never would have accepted him in his life. JMO.
September 16, 2015 at 7:27 pm #48448caseyParticipantfor her to break her promise of not seeing Chad again. If Abby is intent on just helping a friend then she should have told Ben she would continue to do just that. This way she’s just blowing the trust issue, not that she ever had it to begin with. What was she saying about starting over?
