OMG. This is SOOOOOOOOOO DISGUSTING!!!!!!! it has got to be the DUMBEST SL EVER!!! Watching it is repulsive. Yeah they hate each other but they are grieving about their dead son and the are pawing at each other. Makes my skin crawl!!!!! I hope will isn’t like Phillip and Lucas when he denounces his mom and then forgives her later on. I hope will sticks to it. I will not feel one bit sorry for Sami during this whole SL. She’s right up there with Kate for me now in the hate department. I always liked her to an extent. But this is the last straw.
November 21, 2011 at 8:12 pm #29032loritrollParticipantBut, I thought it’s added a great twist to this thing. This wasn’t meant to be romantic or passionate. It was meant to be dirty, angry sex. Ej and Sami are both people who don’t grieve like normal people, especially when they are together. Seeing this unnatural reaction to their grief really doesn’t surprise me. The actor that portrays Will did a SUPERB job today! If the only thing that comes out of this is for everyone to see what a fantastic actor he is, then I’m all for it. He was able to show the betrayal on his face with little to no effort at all. I was cringing when he was walking in, because I knew what he was going to see and that’s what they want to give us as an audience – moments where we literally have a physical reaction to what’s happening on screen and, like it or not, that’s what we got. Am really looking forward to seeing Will shine in this SL and to see Sami and EJ deal with the regret and shame of it all.
November 21, 2011 at 9:14 pm #29036lynnekarenParticipantWill was fantastic. I think he portrayed what we all feel. Except Bono…
November 21, 2011 at 9:57 pm #29043JohnnyboyParticipantYes the act made no sense. But Will’s reaction without words showed a first-class actor. The scars he will bear because of this you can see and the disgust he feels for his mother will simmer for a long time.
But after the act as much as we acted it, the look on Sami’s and EJ’s faces without words told a story too. The impulsive act to somehow soothe their tortured souls is something they will regret and without words spoken, you can tell how guilty they both felt and shamed as well at this act after the thought their son had died.
Yes we will see lives change after this, because eventually Rafe will find out, and whether Will can or will forgive is another thing altogether. It will have a bearing as well on his own sexuality as we see his storyline progress.
November 22, 2011 at 12:26 am #29051bluebonnetParticipantI posted something similar on the Main Board about the writers not meaning for the scene to be passionate. You said it very well, loritroll. And, I, too, think Will was outstanding today. The looks on his face, especially when Sami came home showed what a great actor he is. I’m going to really enjoy the next few weeks when he confronts his mother and has to deal with his feelings of anger toward her.
November 22, 2011 at 12:28 am #29052BonbonParticipantblame Will’s homosexuality on this (if they’re still going there, that is). That would be a total farce. I firmly believe (and it’s been scientifically proven) people are born homosexual, not made that way because of something like this.
And I really have to beg forgivness from the writers for my previous comments about about thise scene. I thought it was a powerful portray of exactly what both of them were feeling.
November 22, 2011 at 11:42 am #29065KseeParticipantSAMI should know how she hurt Will for it is exactly what happened to her when she saw her mother with John in the boardroom together all those years ago
November 22, 2011 at 2:26 pm #29072MKParticipantI fast forwarded the sex scenes. I just don’t buy into "angry sex". It makes no sense at all. If I’m angry, it’s the very LAST thing I’d want to do! I could see maybe Sami and EJ cuddling to comfort one another but sex? Will was amazing though.
November 22, 2011 at 2:31 pm #29073mommytutuParticipantI’ve already had to ff. Sorry, I’m not buying angry sex either, and certainly not angry sex with a man who raped you and you supposedly hate. Big no-no writers!!! Vomitous!!!
November 22, 2011 at 10:11 pm #29095GoldenDaysFanParticipantand I’m no prude. What happened between E.J. and Sami cannot be explained by grief for their son. It was like he went from hateful speach to rape, except she participated as much as he did. Was she wanting to be violated because she blaims herself? Is that where the writers are leading us?

November 22, 2011 at 10:48 pm #2910053tdogsParticipantin my vocabulary from now on…great word! Especially appropriate for this SL.
November 25, 2011 at 12:50 pm #29150BonbonParticipantI think it was more of a primal, tension reliever that neither one of them instigated or even really knew what was happening at first. That’s why the horror and disgust on their faces (Sami’s more than EJ’s) when they finally came to their senses.
In spite of the groaning I did when I first found about what was going to happen, I think it was very well done and integral to the storyline. Sorry, folks, JMO.
