I’m still very suspicious as to how they are making Sydney act so mellow. Did you notice how she was all cuddled up to Sami yesterday and just as still as a mouse. I can’t believe they wait for her to be sleepy to shoot those scenes. Besides, most kids that age get rather fussy and cranky when they get sleepy and can’t lie down and go to sleep.

I seriously doubt that they are doing anything to make the children act mellow – there are just too many precautions and people to let that happen in my opinion. Is it possible that they have a ‘doll’ that they use frequently that looks like Donna’s – so real you don’t realize it is a doll?

I don’t think they are "making her act mellow" I think she’s just generally a calm, snuggly, baby. I had one of those myself, they do exist.

I saw her put her finger in her mouth the other day for a first. They never show her crawl or stand or walk. We will see a smile sometimes when she is sitting in the playpen. Personally, I think she is developmentally behind. Also she has not grown much in the past year and to me she looks no larger than a 6 month old. She should be babbling naturally when someone is holding her but instead we get silence and sullenness. They need to change this little actress soon because it is not believable at all. IMO, they might as well be holding a doll.

March 11, 2010 at 10:53 pm #11220BonbonParticipantI think she has grown considerably and at least one of the twins smiled a lot while she was with Anna. And today, finally we saw her standing up when Sami was putting her coat on. I’m sure if they’d let her, she’d be walking all over the place.
March 11, 2010 at 11:29 pm #11222PattiParticipantI distinctly remember one scene when she was in that damn playpen and she walked from one side of it to the other, maybe to E.J. or to Anna, but I remember her taking about 3 or 4 steps. She may be a bit traumatized from having so many new faces in front of her now. Remember, for the longest while it was only E.J. and Nicole, with an occasional Stefano here and there; then just E.J. and Anna. Now she has Sami and all of the Bradys, plus Rafe, Will, and today Brady. The little one may just be a bit overwhelmed with all of these new faces in her tiny face, plus she’s being passed around from one stranger to another. I’m surprised she’s not fussing more.
