Can you believe the outcome of America’s Got Talent? I was absolutely shocked. First of all that Prince Poppycock went first. I was convinced he would win. When the four were introduced, his ovation was far louder than anyone elses.
And then that Michael beat out Jackie! No way in the world was that guy better that she was, no way. I think his sob story about wanting it for his grandparents won over the viewer’s hearts and he was not voted in as the best. What a shame for Jackie, but, as I’ve said before, she’ll have a fabulous career no matter. I guess she can be put in the same category as Susan Boyle, both the best but came in second anyway. And how great was it to see her sing with Sara Brightman? Definitely two of a kind. You could just see the adoration on Jackie’s face when Sara was singing. She is such a sweetheart.
I think PP will also be successful and end up with a Vegas show of his own, he is just too talented not to. I think he probably lost a lot of votes because of bigotted people claiming he is gay. I don’t know if he is or not but what the heck difference would it make? His talent is overwhelming.
Anyway, I was extremely disappointed in the results, very!
September 16, 2010 at 1:00 pm #16313PattiParticipantas Jackie. That little girl is a rare talent well beyond her years, and to have developed this far for someone so young is amazing to say the least. The only reason I can think that Michael was probably the most logical choice (even though Prince Poppycock and Fighting Gravity would probably have done just as well) is because of the location of the prize. The Las Vegas Strip would not be my choice for my 10-year old daughter’s debut; but, hey, that’s just my opinion. All of the other 3 acts, however, could be considered "Las Vegas ‘Headliners’."

Knowing that, I wouldn’t have voted for my fav Jackie, as a ten year old performing in that venue would not have sat well with me. So I’m wondering if some voters also took that into consideration.
I would have thought the Gravity gang’s act would have played best in Vegas. PP was too much of a gimmick for me. though he obviously has the pipes. Grimm, a nice kind of Michael Bolton voice, but IMO more Idol-like than AGT. -
