Well Clint started off the show with a bang! Awesome! its comment time! LOL. i loved him. hes one of my favorites. i think i’ll do alot of voting this year!
holy crap! 2-0 right now for the guys jovanny is HOT!!!!!! Sorry about all the posts, i’m so excited about ai this year. he was a tad pitchy here and there but i thought he sounded like j-lo’s hubby.
i didnt know Luthor vandross was dead. i love James Lutz. he has so much personality. not a bad singer too! i like james durbin, scotty! he was awesome, i bet he has a country record contract even if he doesnt win, even if he gets voted off thursday! I also like Paul mcdonald, but not that crazy about him, love his smile though! i’m voting for Clint, both James’, and scotty!
were Paul, Clint, and Jacob. They were awesome! This is going to be an exciting year. I usually start watching about now because the first month or so are tedious for me to watch. I’m watching it from here on out, though. Girls are next and that should be interesting since the boys set the bar so high.
Scotty is so pure ala Randy Travis. He picked the absolute perfect song for his voice and seemed so relaxed. I think the one guy who sang early on – last name begins with B – should go. Just not unique enough. What happened to Jordan? Again, song choice is SO key. Durbin for me is just too Adam Lambert.
This lineup, though, on the whole is so varied and entertaining. The gals have their work cut out for them tomorrow!I don’t remember the names yet except Scotty and he’s good. The second guy that sang could record and album right now he’s that good. There were about 3 I hope go home Thursday night but it’s hard to pick the next 2.
The music overpowered a few of them so it was hard to hear their voices come through. That was our complaint in the past and last year they were a lot better but back to the loud music and background singers and not enough of the contestants coming through.
i voted for CLint multiple times, same with Scotty, i also voted for james, i think james sounds like Adam too but i think he’s better than Adam. also voted for Casey. also Jacob (is it jacob or james lutz?) he was awesome! i think the red head is going home for sure. also tje others were just ok, quoting Randy, they were all pitchy.. i like Stefano’s name.. i liked the 2nd guy too, he’s hot! how many are they cutting?? i think Ryan said they are going down to the stop 10??
let’s see, loved Clint and Jovany; hated Jordan and could not have been happier that he fell on his face. The young man has a vicious, self-centered attitude that makes him believe he’s "all that" next to everyone else, and I think he will come to see, real, real fast, that he’s far from it. Loved James Durbin to death — he wasn’t too over the top last night, and that Judas Priest song was perfect for him in every way. I think Steven likes the ‘rockers’ but he’s such a great judge and was very complementary to the balladeers as well last night. Red-headed kid is headed straight (no pun intended) down the tubes. He’s as flamboyant with his singing and his movements as his hair. No need for all that — he’s got a good voice but I don’t expect him to shine at all. Stefano is cute as a button with a terrific voice. I expect he’ll go far. But my absolute 2 favorites are Jacob Lutz and Casey Abrams; two unique voices, different as night and day, but the best of the best IMO. Unless one of them screws up a song royally, I’m predicting them to go to the top of the leader board in no time flat. Casey has an incredible ear and displayed it last night. He’s a little bit like an old Ray Charles album entitled "Genius + Soul = Jazz." And Jacob — you could make angels cry — that’s how good you are.
agree 100% with you Patti! I LOVE Jacob!! Clint and Scotty were my top favs though, i voted for them multiple times. i also voted for james durbin and Casey, he was totally awesome. Steven loved Scotty. those 5 were the best last night and deserve to move on, the rest are in trouble. agree about jordon. too full of himself. i like that paul mcdonald too, his smile is so sexy. he’s got a soft but strong voice. your right about the red head too. he was good first audition and even hollywood week but last night he didnt shine at all.
I guess I am in the minority here – but I can’t stand Jacob’s voice! Too high-pitched for me. I thought he stunk on Beatles night but the judges loved him. Go figure
was Jacob. The long curly haired carrot top skinny kid and the one with the round glasses – glad they left. The shipbuilder (?) (handsome guy) and very good singer – did he make it? And the rocker…not so impressed with him, what’s with having "a tail" with his tie or whatever hanging off his pants in every single shot? Love Scotty and his deep singing voice. Hope that he can diversify for the show a bit more.
Not really caring about the ladies too much this year. One or two are pretty good though. The Jamican (?) lady in the dashiki clothes reminds me of an Erykah Badu wanna be – Jamica mannnnnnnnn! Perhaps if she just came out in regular clothes and sung then it wouldn’t be so distracting because she does have a very good old-type bluesy quality to her voice.
Maybe I’m just getting old, I don’t like the screaming singing – which is funny because back in the day, I loved Janis and Big Brother…
brett was the annoying flamboyant guy with the carrottop hair. but Clint is the other guy you are talking about. i really liked him, i was disappointed that he didnt make it.yes Jovanny was the shipbuilder and yes he did make it. i agree with the ladies with the exception if Thia and Pia. i thought for sure the girls would be the strong ones, but the guys are going to give them a run for the money. jacob is the black guy, kind of flamboyant but not that bad. i would love to hear him sing summertime or something else by that composer (his name is slipping me!) Someone to watch over me would be a good one for him too, thats my favorite song!
I feel like I’m watching a different show. Everything, from the judges, to the unbelievable talent on that stage, to the way the results were presented, is just brilliant. As for my favorites, they are Casey, Stefano (I’m thrilled he got back in with the wild-card vote), Jacob, and yes, I do like Scotty (even though he’s the only true country singer); for the gals, it’s Pia, Thia (I think her name sounds so funny – Thia Media (sp?)), and the tall black girl who sang Summertime. I love her style and her looks. Of course, I was shocked when Ashton had to be put back in with the wild-card vote. I said from the beginning that she reminded me of a young Diana Ross, and last night Randy said the same thing. She is great, but so is pretty much everyone else. Again, they are going to have to be extremely careful with song selection, cause if they can’t "bring it" every time they’re up at bat, someone else will. But honestly, I’m loving the whole show this year. J-Lo – sure was one hot video girl — you’re back in your groove, really rockin’ it with this one. A little slutty in some parts, but hey, you can pull it off.
not a judge – but I guess they agreed with me. What is the name of the black guy that can really sing – he made to the top 10 – is that Jacob? (told you I was bad with names) He was excellent from day 1 – I’d love to hear him belt out some old Motown or gospel hymn. He has a true gift and amazing voice. Thia – you wouldn’t think a 15 year old would have such a powerful, natural singng voice – she is great. What was the name of the very last girl who sang? I think she had straight jet black hair – she sounded good too.
