Ok Judges just dont like Adam GArcia! They were down right mean. I didnt think he was that bad, I sort of liked it with Ellen, and poor The young guy(cant think of his name!) I thought he was so cute tonight! And I liked him a lot, and WTF I hated Adam’s lamberts hair! He looked looked a devil. Anyway, I just thought they were overly mean! loved Well crap I’m going blank on names tonight! the big black guy! LOL
April 14, 2010 at 2:54 am #1203653tdogsParticipantthe 16 year old is Alex the youngster I think you’re reffering to, I haven’t seen tonight’s show – 8 more minutes before it comes on…
April 14, 2010 at 3:02 am #12037DeeLanParticipantIt’s Andy Garcia, the young guy is Aaron. I agree about Adam Lambert. Didn’t care for him last season and he’s not experienced enough to mentor the contestents. They pimped him all last season and they’re still doing it.
April 14, 2010 at 3:05 am #1203853tdogsParticipantThe show’s just on now in my neck of the woods, two go tomorrow – wonder who’s going? Do you think it was a publicty ploy last week with Big Mike being the lowest score? I just find that hard to believe. Love to have after the winner is announced to find out details about the scoring with a independent panel. I wouldn’t put it past Hollywood to do something like that for ratings.
April 14, 2010 at 3:06 am #1203953tdogsParticipantI couldn’t stand watching him and all the hype. So agree with your comment DeeLan!
April 14, 2010 at 4:10 am #12042DeeLanParticipantThere was a lot of talk a couple of years ago that the producers swing the votes the way they want. The judges also TRY to sway the votes by either talking up or down a contestant. There are so many that are better than the judges say and a lot that are in my opinion just awful and they get the most praise.
Last year Adam took every song he did and changed it tremendously but this year a few contestants, one in particular who got voted off before the final 12 got blasted for doing that. Also last year Adam was very theatrical and he was named a "Rock God" by Kara but this year Michael and a few others were blasted for being theatrical.
April 14, 2010 at 4:54 am #1204353tdogsParticipantare darned for what they do or not do…Crystal is still great…I didn’t think Tim was good (but always thought that the teens vote for him), Sioban was great at the beginning but now – so repetitious, however, she does have talent. Going to be interesting tomorrow night to say the least…
April 14, 2010 at 1:34 pm #12048caseyParticipantand found him offering the most honest and productive criticism. All the other “mentors” haven’t been worth much IMO and I appreciated Adam’s effort to address the weaknesses.
Has Tim become a sort of dark horse after the past two weeks? He’s still no Idol-worthy winner, but I’ve begun to see he does have a nice voice and should have a niche somewhere in the biz.April 14, 2010 at 3:23 pm #12056luckeyParticipantas the mentor, thinking that he’s not "seasoned" enough for that position. However, after watching for a bit, I got the same feeling that you did that he had no hesitation telling them when he thought something wasn’t working or it was boring. All the other mentors are like Paula used to be…trying to be warm and fuzzy with them while not giving them any constructive criticism. Good grief, how are they going to learn if the professionals aren’t honest with them!?
April 15, 2010 at 11:46 am #12096NoraParticipanti guess other people are talking about how Ryan is "Ruining" AI with his odd aggressive behavior. There’s an article on yahoo about it.
April 15, 2010 at 12:01 pm #12098luckeyParticipantask him back for next year….if there even is a next year. I really doubt it. I believe it’s run its course.
April 15, 2010 at 3:38 pm #12115caseyParticipantand getting too big for his britches so to speak. He may think he’s being entertaining and livening up the show, but NOT.
April 15, 2010 at 3:39 pm #12116caseyParticipantto let Andrew and Katie go. I still like Andrew’s voice and texture but he never seemed to light the fire. Katie can sure sing but I couldn’t pinpoint her style and personally I did not like her. Something put on and fakey to me.
April 15, 2010 at 5:01 pm #12118DeeLanParticipantWhen Andrew was good he was great but he wasn’t consistent enough. Katie, I agree could sing but she didn’t do anything to stand out or as Simon would say, didn’t have a "WOW" moment and I didn’t see one coming. I can see Tim being one of the next to be let go as the ones voting for those let go are going to be casting their votes for the better contestents and Tim, even though he has his good moments isn’t that good.
April 15, 2010 at 8:18 pm #1212553tdogsParticipanton my list to go; so no big surprise there – I thought Tim should go a long time ago, however, I’m not a 14 teen year old with my own cellphone that daddy is paying for, so Mr. Tim Dimples will stay I think, next to go may be the 16 year old – Arron, he always looks pretty nervous. Then Lee (although, I like his Kenny Wayne Sheppard sound blues sound). Casey is good (and cute too), but don’t see him as talented as my favorite, (Crystal).
PS – check out this blog of AI – I think this guy is pretty right on in his comments about the show this year:
