I still love how Ali is secure enough to be seen onscreen looking a total wreck with the messed up hair, the eyes and all. Today she really looked like I’d imagine someone would look after going through something like that. I haven’t always liked how they have written her part, but Ali has never disappointed us with her acting. I’m really going to miss her.
October 15, 2014 at 2:08 am #45572PattiParticipantThese last 3 days have totally convinced me that Ali’s performance was, hands down, Emmy-worthy! Loved that she was wearing E.J.’s throw-back Oxford rugby shirt. How very apropos!!!
October 15, 2014 at 2:12 pm #45581MKParticipantShe is playing the part perfectly. I don’t think it could get any better than that. And what touched me most is when she came home after being at the morgue. Her expressions and emotions were so incredibly real when she walked through the door into the foyer. She was looking and walking around so lost. Everything there was a reminder of EJ. The way she did that was amazing. It was exactly how somebody who just lost a loved one would react.
October 16, 2014 at 6:00 am #45590BonbonParticipantsomeone who has just lost a loved one needs to have someone there with them. They need to be distracted from that incredible pain they are experiencing. Yes, yes, I know some just want to be alone but I’d say most people really need someone there with them for as long as it takes.
I cried more yesterday than any other so far. Even Nicole had my tears rolling. Very touching storyline, indeed.
October 16, 2014 at 11:27 am #45596PattiParticipantfor 3 days now, and her hair, make-up and wardrobe have been spot on for her scenes. The scene at the staircase when she ran to Brady just made me lose it again. After seeing how AS has “acted” over the years, sooo OTT at times, I thought she could not have played E.J.’s death (alleged) scenes more perfectly.
October 17, 2014 at 12:47 am #45606powerpaw2ParticipantI’m so in awe of Ali’s acting, especially today, that I’m just riveted and watching with my mouth hanging open. She was so sweet with Johnny and then went off on Chad. I understand why she is leaving, but my gosh I will miss her acting. When she is given great dialogue she just hits it out of the park.
October 17, 2014 at 12:56 am #45607PurpleLady49ParticipantI’ve been away over a week, knew what had happened and watched some episodes on my dvr when I got home…Alison is amazing!! Watched today in real time…did anyone else notice that Sami’s top was on inside out??? Silly, I know, but I just couldn’t help but notice, and notice, over & over…would have thought it would have been fixed in between scenes, but it wasn’t…unless it was meant to show how distraught she is…
October 17, 2014 at 2:36 am #45609shadowParticipantSami is so hateful, even when E.J. is dead or is he really dead. Who knows everything is so mixed up. And Stefano has his nose in everything he can stir up or destroy. If E.J. had not gone to the park instead of going to the silly party, he may not have been mugged. And we wouldn’t have had to endure Sami acting & putting on a show.
YES, I have no sympathy for her. I don’t understand why all the friends and kin folk flock around her when she has been so mean and ugly to everyone. I know certain people are kissing her butt. She can’t leave soon enough for me.
I KNOW I WILL BE CRITICIZED FOR THESE COMMENTS, BUT I DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT I FEEL.
October 17, 2014 at 12:50 pm #45610caseyParticipantwelcome comments that may not be in the minority and if you feel this way you are absolutely entitled to your opinions. I still lean toward EJ fully intending to go to the park to set this up and fake his death. Even if not, no way is he gone.
I too have often criticized Sami’s over the top antics but have accepted that Days would never change her and we are now seeing the ultimate emotional volcano. It is fully in her character. Even though I’m not a super Sami fan, I do prefer her often outrageousness to the “watching paint dry” Jordan.October 17, 2014 at 2:26 pm #45614shadowParticipantI appreciate you responding to my comments. I agree with you.
October 17, 2014 at 2:44 pm #45615justwonderingParticipantYes, she has been mean and vindictive and set on revenge. However, I feel that it is easy to understand why family and friends are flocking around her. She has suffered an unexpected and terrible loss. It is what makes us human, to come and comfort her, not matter what happened in the past. Sympathy for her perdicament– because it could happen to anyone and everyone needs comfort. No matter how anyone feels about someone, I don’t think even an enemy wish ill on a person.
I will miss Ali, she has been great during this SL, so believable in her reactions.
