July 24, 2013 at 2:16 am #40562lynnekarenParticipantShould be interesting. lol
July 24, 2013 at 10:39 am #40567BonbonParticipantif I’ll be able. to watch that. Too mich like incest. I mean, she is Sami Brady and he is her twin brother after all!
July 24, 2013 at 2:28 pm #40573PattiParticipantBut I can understand the “eww” factor! LOL!
July 24, 2013 at 4:10 pm #40574shadowParticipantI guess Alison Sweeney has played Sami for so long, that she thinks she deserves all the attention she can get too. I get tired of seeing her face splattered on all the covers of magazines. She definetely wants all the notariety(?) and publicity she can get. She reminds me of Kate Gosselin. Both are narcissist(?). I know I am in the minority, but that is my opinion.
July 24, 2013 at 8:42 pm #40576justwonderingParticipantWell I would rather see her than the Kardasians or the Boston bombing suspect!!!
In this business, everyone needs to make as much money when they can, because when show business is done with you, they thrwo you away.
July 25, 2013 at 8:41 am #40581BonbonParticipantThat’s her job and how she earns her living. She wants as much exposure as she can get, it’s the business she is in. I don’t think it means Ali is narsissistic at all although you DO need to be somewhat to be in showbusiness.
I’ve said before that I think Ali has a very good agent to get her so much exposure. I say, more power to her. And I think she handles it very well. Allison appears to be a very nice person when you see her in interviews, etc.
July 26, 2013 at 11:38 pm #40594TFlo1018ParticipantAnd i’ll watch the movie purely b/c of that.
I think she’s very smart (as is her business manager/publicist/agent) b/c they are really putting her out there. Let’s face it – with daytime being as vulnerable as it is AND so many soap stars leaving for "better" things only to come back – I think it’s smart for her to MILK IT so to speak…
The good thing is she’s very talented and versatile…. She plays a villianess on a soap – hosts a reality show – and is a health nut and employs that in a way (health books/Shape magazine etc.) She also took something VERY personal to her (her weight) and worked on it in a good way and put it out there to share for others (and profit obviously.)
Kudos to Ali – she’s a mom and has mouths to feed. And her husband seems like a stand up guy who is VERY comfortable being the man behind the woman. I applaud her. At least she is famous for something vs. all these other tragic fools who are famous for the all the wrong reasons (hey Amanda Bynes I’m talking to you!!!)
July 27, 2013 at 1:26 am #40597powerpaw2ParticipantAli seems to be a genuinely nice lady. I think it’s awesome that she is so diversified and is securing the future for her family. More power to her. She’s a much better role model for young women than most of the "stars" out there.
I think of her hubby (never seen him but I think his name is Dave) along the lines of Susan Lucci’s husband. Both are very secure men who love their wives and don’t mind not having part of the spotlight. A tip of the hat to both of these guys.
