You also listen to the lungs in the front and on the sides. At least that’s what I was taught in school to make sure you get each lobe and the different areas of each. We’d document as anterior/posterier or lateral, upper/middle or lower lobes.
if you’re suspecting something specifically in the lungs, but I’ve never been told to "take a deep breath" while listening to my chest. It’s always "take a deep breath" in the back and then, "breathe normally, in front when it’s just routine.
If you are an actor who has to faint, you don’t want to hit the ground hard, so sofas and beds are good. Aside from the bad faint, I am looking forward to this story. I have always liked Lexi and Abe so anytime they are used for something besides ornamentation I am willing to watch.
I suppose you have a point if it’s a soap actor. It is possible to have a protective surface for them to fall on. It’s pretty common for actors and stunt people–can you imagine an actress like Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games needing a sofa or mattress to fall on? I’ll give you the "don’t want to hit the ground hard" part…but the faint itself was lame.
