Now that Sid’s kidnapper has been revealed, how will this be explained? I can surmise that Anna would want to get back at Stef for Tony’s demise, but how did she manage this on her own? Was she lurking in Salem all this time? How on earth, even if she knew about Sidney, did she know she was in Cleveland, that Nicole was at the bus station, etc.
And is she figuring on keeping the baby or what? How much does she know?
If memory serves me, Anna was pretty much an absentee mother to Carrie. Maybe this will factor in?December 19, 2009 at 1:22 am #8574daysfan1974ParticipantMaybe she is trying to make up for lost time with Carrie. I can’t imagine her doing anything mean. Her character hasn’t been that way before to the best of my memory. She has to be working with someone.
December 19, 2009 at 11:06 am #8578SWParticipantthe last time she aired according to SOD, she took Tony’s ashes and slapped Stefano. Doesn’t sound like any kind of ‘love’ relationship to me! I think it could be Kate (her look when Stefano was talking about how he’d get even with EJ and how dare he go against him, etc.) or Tony, if he’s not dead or last choice -Victor/Vivian combo.
December 19, 2009 at 12:49 pm #8583BonbonParticipantI’m wondering why she is keeping a scrapbook of the kidnapping. That would indicate to me that maybe she’s planning on keeping Sydney. For what reason, I haven’t the foggiest. Anna has never been very maternal as mentioned re Carrie.
And I don’t believe for a minute she’s working with Stefano, although I don’t believe she’s working alone either. But who it is is beyond me…I don’t have a clue. How she knew their whereabouts is anybody’s guess and the writers will certainly have some ‘splainin’ to do.
December 22, 2009 at 5:36 pm #8689IzzyBParticipantOK, so I think I figured this out.
Anna is mad at Stephano for Tony and she believes that Stephano was Tony’s downfall. She doesn’t want Sydney to go through what Tony did. It is the same theory that Sami had by hiding the pregnancy.
I think her grief is not letting her think straight that she is also hurting Sami. I just don’t think she is thinking straight, not that she is crazy, she just is not thinking straight because of the grief of Tony.
Now how she found Nicole, that I have no clue.
December 22, 2009 at 6:07 pm #8692daysfanforeverParticipantYes, I agree with you, especially after her interaction with Sydney yesterday.
December 23, 2009 at 10:02 am #8724SWParticipantI have to wonder since from the papers, it just seemed that Nicole was accused of stealing the child from the Dimeras, not that she wasn’t the mother. And, if Nicole was escaping from the Dimeras, why wouldn’t she just help her escape instead of keeping the child? The old Anna never had a maternal instinct in her body!
(This isn’t really a spoiler since it was seen on air yesterday) Also in the preview: who did she get that unexpected call from? Who would know she had the child unless Kate knew who else had the boots?
December 23, 2009 at 12:27 pm #8737BonbonParticipantTrue, Anna wasn’t very maternal when she had Carrie but she has aged and could very likely have developed some. Besides, who wouldn’t be taken in by that little sweety, Sydney?
I’m still conflicted about who’s behind this. Tony and Anna were always friendly with the Brady’s so I can’t imagine Anna doing this to Sami. And, whoever was on the phone probably isn’t connected with the kidnapping or she wouldn’t have acted so surprised.
Uh-huh, they’ve really got me on this one. I can’t even speculate (anything that would create any great interest) as to who is involved here.
December 23, 2009 at 2:29 pm #8745PattiParticipantE.J. is putting on the performance of his life. Who would he think of to help him succeed with the perfect revenge on Stefano? I keep asking myself, and I keep coming up with the same answer. Who could help him pull this off? Why Anna, of course. No one would even suspect her, let alone E.J. It’s the perfect crime….well, almost. Who would be in the position of being wealthy enough to come up with this scheme, continue the river of money flowing into Anna’s bank account, all to take out his revenge on Stefano for betraying him? None other than E.J. DiMera himself, and that’s what I’ve always believed, and will continue to believe. E.J. is doing a superb job of fooling everyone on this one, regardless of how he looks doing it. I’d be surprised if E.J. was NOT in cahoots with Anna on this one, and he has everyone fooled. No way could Anna be pulling this off all by herself. That wouldn’t make any sense at all. She would never do something this drastic with such extreme consequences if she were not absolutely 100% sure she would be protected as well as being very well paid. But, I’m sure everyone would concur that Anna has never, ever, ever been the sharpest knife the the drawer. I’m just waiting for her to mess up, and then hopefully Rafe will pounce on her, figure out E.J. was the mastermind behind it all, and that will be the end of that. Well, I can dream, can’t I?
December 23, 2009 at 6:13 pm #8753IzzyBParticipantBecause why would EJ acuse Ari? That gets him nowhere, but looking stupid. I am sorry, if it is EJ, then he would be acting differently. He would "act" upset and go after leads with others, but he would not accuse random people that no one suspects.
It could be Kate working with Anna, Anna working on her own, or like someone else said a long time ago, maybe Tony is alive? Maybe Anna doesn’t realize it is Sami’s child, because I think she is trying to hurt Stephano, not the Brady’s.
