I have always watched some show in the Sunday, 10:00 pm slot so had to see what Red Widow was about.  Wow, that’s a good show.  The second espisode was last night and I’m hooked.  It helps that it’s located in San Francisco too so everything is familiar to me.

I don’t know the female star from anywhere but the bad guy is the doctor from ER that was from Bosnia.  The actor is from there too, but I can’t remember his name.  Oh, Goran Visnjic.  He makes a great bad guy.  And the acting is very realistic.  Even the three kids are believable.  Anybody else watcht it?

as well as The Bible, and The Vikings on the History Channel, because I cannot miss watching live Once Upon A Time at 8:00 p.m., and then Celebrity Apprentice from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Thank God for the DVR, since I catch up when I can.

First off, I absolutely love The Bible, which I tape since it is a 2-hour show.  The actors are not comprised of those handsome, hunky movie male stars.  Instead they genuinely look like people who would have lived in that era, but overall the acting is superb, as well as the locations, the direction, well — just everything about it amazes me.

Immediately following The Bible on History is The Vikings, which I watch for the same reasons as I do The Bible.  I love past history and following the way things were in our past has always interested me.  For me these two programs have revived the History Channel programming, which was beginning to lose slump until these two series, which certainly brought it back for me.  The only reason I DVR them, though, is because I can’t take my eyes off that car-wreck, Celebrity Apprentice, from 9-11 on Sunday night.

Of course, Sunday at 8:00 p.m. I reserve for Once Upon A Time, which has always been one of my favorite shows, and it is even better this year.

Also, Grimm returned this past Friday, which started off with a bang and just keeps getting better and better for me from season to season.

I also love Once Upon a Time and agree, Patti, that it is even better this year.  I always record that show and either watch it at 9:00 or the following night.  The woman playing young Cora was Rose McGowan.  She used to be on a show called "Charmed".  I thought it might be her but wasn’t sure because she looked so different! She must have had a lot of plastic surgery.  Her mouth and lips looked weird.  Anyway, it was a great storyline.

I also watch The Vikings.  I liked the first episode somewhat but didn’t know if I wanted to watch more.  I did watch it last night and liked it a lot better.  It’s like nothing else on TV and I am intrigued.  I love Gabriel Byrne and this is such a different part for him.  He’s a great actor and I find him so sexy (though not so much in this part) even though he’s not really handsome, there is something about him that’s so appealing to me.  There was one particular scene last night that was pretty gross.  The guys were throwing water on their faces out of a bowl and then blowing snot rockets into the bowl and then the next guy would use the bowl.   Turned my stomach.

I’m debating checking out another new show that starts next Monday called "Bates Motel".  It is a prequel to the movie Psycho.  It delves into Norman Bates’ life as a child/teen.  Psycho was so great so I don’t know if I want to see this but I am kind of interested.  I already watch/record so many shows on Monday nights that I don’t know if I want to add another one.  And Dancing starts next week I think.  I need more days in the week to catch up on my shows!  LOL

Missed last week and this week, though of Once Upon a Time.  But I read this morning online that the actress playing young Cora had been in a "devastating car accident" that resulted in plastic surgery, so maybe that’s why she looked different.

And Grimm, WOW, I was on the edge of the couch on that episode.  Love Monroe, glad Rosalee is back even though she has strange mouth actions when she speaks.  Never have been fond of the actress playing Nick’s girlfriend.  She seems somehow not animated enough, but the ending with Adalind.   Can’t wait on that one.

Anyone watch Double Divas?  My husband just can’t understand why I watch it. Not that I’m glued to it, but I think for all the sensationalism with the gigantic breasts they also seem to want to do good stuff, like the woman who had reconstructive surgery.  I think Molly is just cute and her sidekick sounds like Vicki Lawrence in Mama’s Family.  I’m thinking about sending them my picture so see if they can fit me into the right bra size via online.  They seem to be able to get it pretty much on the mark each time!

I save those for Saturday nights when nothing else is on.  The History Channel really hit a home run with The Hatfields and McCoys so I hope they are equally successful with these shows.

I also taped CA because I’m not sure if I can watch another episode after the opener.  I don’t understand why Piers kept arguing with Omorosa (whom I intensely dislike!!! although I don’t like him much better).  You certainly wouldn’t see George or Donald, Jr. doing that.  I hope he isn’t going to be on every episode in that seat.  And the rest of it was just so bad, I don’t know…  I’ll wait a couple of days and see.  I don’t know if I’m just becoming over cynical in my old age but it seems like all these reality shows have become so formulaic that they have lost my interest.

Oh, Patti, you said in The Bible the people "genuinely look like people who would have lived in that era."  How do you know, do you remember?  (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.  :o)  Feel free to fire back.)

I’m looking forward to The Vikings too because of my Norse heritage, although, I think the movies and TV have overly romanticized them when they were really similar to the Huns.

Ahhh, so many shows, so little time.

not very attractive either.  She seemed to old for that part.  And I can’t, for the life of me understand how she could have fallen in love with Rumple…ewww.  (Belle is a different story.)

And I hope Cora stays dead because I can’t stand watching Barbara Hershey talk with her teeth clenched together all the time.  Plus, by her own admission, she’s had plastic surgery which, to me, made her look worse than she did before.

And couldn’t they have found someone a bit more attractive to play Bae?  I just can’t get into him.  And I won’t even mention Snow’s ears.  If mine looked like that, I don’t think I’d wear such short hair.  Oops, I said I wouldn’t mention them.

Grimm…IMO, Monroe is the best character on the show.  I’m not that fond of his girlfriend either but I like Rosalee.  I’m anxious to see how they’re going to take the Captain in all this.

I can’t tell you why but I do.  But then, I also watch(ed) Honey Boo-Boo and Gypsy Sisters.  They are all complete train wrecks but I keep going back.  I guess that’s what the networks rely on.

There are many other similar shows but I wouldn’t watch them if you put a gun to my head.  Go figure.  I sure hope this doesn’t say something about my intellect.

Oh, crap, this was supposed to be posted at the bottom, sorry.

And don’t forget Dance Moms tomorrow night!  Felt really bad for Abbey last week when her dog died.  Bonbon, are you still watching The Following?  I’ll record it and watch tomorrow night.

I know you’ve mentioned it before, but you’re right, Barbara Hershey does talk with her teeth clenched.  I doubt Cora will stay dead.  I didn’t hear anything about B. Hershey leaving.

I just wonder how long they can keep this storyline up.  I guess we’ll have to watch and see.

guess I meant to say how I "imagine" they would have looked in that era.  And listen, you may think you’re becoming over cynical in your old age, but your eyes and ears don’t miss a trick.  Bet you do a lot of crossword puzzles.  I know it keeps my old brain on its toes (most of the time, anyway).

At least two a day. How could you tell that?

You mentioned before how I find every fault with the show but I do that with all shows and movies too.  Just ask my dogs.  I’ll be watching TV and say, "Come on, that’s not realistic," or catch a continuity booboo.
