February 4, 2012 at 5:07 pm #30800luckeyParticipantis her Dad and that would put him and Kate in a liaison from the past. That’s all Days writers seem to know how to write.
February 4, 2012 at 6:48 pm #30805BonbonParticipantdid you see where she miscarried her last pregnancy? I should think someone ought to hit them over the heads with a hammer and ask them, don’t they think this just might be a clue that they shouldn’t have any more? My God, that woman has become nothing but a breed mare.
I believe in live and let live and they should have as many children as they want/can care for, but after having a premie coming so close to death and with so many health problems…still…(plus that little girl will have health problems her entire life) and then a miscarriage…um…hello?
February 4, 2012 at 7:49 pm #30808lynnekarenParticipantand I was not surprised AT ALL. Her poor uterus. Eventually another pregnancy will kill HER, but I guess Jim Bob would say it was the Lords plan…
February 4, 2012 at 9:35 pm #30813annieoParticipantI can’t help but think of the story of the man on his roof asking God to save him from the raging flood waters. After turning down several boats to save him by telling the rescuers "God will save me" he finally drowned. When he got to heaven he asked God why he didn’t save him. God replied – "who do think sent the boats?" I think maybe God has sent the last baby in "the boat" and they’re not listening. Do they not wonder if another pregnancvy might not kill her? Then what happens to all the rest of the Duggar children?
February 7, 2012 at 1:27 pm #30857GoldenDaysFanParticipantI’m sure he and the whole family DO trust in the Lord. And by the way, women who have only had one or none have misscarriages too.
February 7, 2012 at 2:18 pm #30859lynnekarenParticipantI wasn’t referring to the miscarriage. I have had THREE myself. It’s a fact that that many pregnancies weakens the uterus. Look at her last pregnancy ending prematurely, because her body couldn’t handle it.
I’m saying that what they are willing to place "in the Lords hands" could eventually kill her (and leave all the other children He decideded to bless them with, motherless) and they don’t seem to think of this. I think they are selfish. That’s my opinion only.
February 7, 2012 at 3:05 pm #30870BonbonParticipantI’m reminded of the story of the man trapped during a flood and stranded on his roof. Eventually a boat came to rescue him but he said, "No, the Lord will save me."
He drowned in the flood and when he went to heaven he asked the Lord, "I believed in you, why didn’t you save me?" And the Lord answered, "Who do you think sent that boat?"
Maybe being sent the premature baby, whose life was in such a precarious balance, and then the miscarriage, were messages…ya think?
February 7, 2012 at 4:58 pm #30877luckeyParticipantpsychological misconnection with those two parents in that they think having as many babies as their bodies will allow is a positive reinforcement to them that they are contributing to mankind in some sort of celestial manner. This is a rather crass comparison; but, just because my car’s speedometer says it will go 150 mph, I know in my reasoning mind that it would be dangerous and possibly deadly to take it up to that speed.
February 7, 2012 at 9:29 pm #30881BonbonParticipantI admire this family in the way they they care for their kids and the closeness and faith they all seem to share. BUT, to continue to have kids is just plain insanity.
