ParticipantI was. But I have to believe the ramifications are far more serious than what one would initially think. Certainly there must be complex legal fallout, and what would this mean for the children involved?
Since Alice kept this hidden for so long, she must have forseen Stefano using this for his own dastardly means at some point.
Interested to see what everyone thinks about this.February 7, 2012 at 11:25 pm #30885DeeLan
ParticipantI was under the impression that Alice didn’t know what was in Stefano’s envelope and vice versa. So now Stefano knows what’s in both envelopes and Hope only knows what’s in one of them. She has no idea what information Alice had on Stefano or the DiMera’s.

ParticipantStefano and he only knew what was in the letter he put in the box for her. So Stefano knew about the marriage but not what Alice had on him.

ParticipantStefano has no clue what’s in the envelope put there by Alice; just that it is something he will not want to see or know about, thus his own hesitation in opening Alice’s envelope.

ParticipantHow did each of them know that the secret was true? It could have been an emty envelope or something made up. It doesn’t make sense.

ParticipantIf wither Hope or John were "not in their right minds" at the time of the "marriage", which at least I could assume you would say Hope was not since she thought she was someone else, is that marriage really legal?

ParticipantI’m also thinking that we are thinking too logically for this show!

ParticipantFunny you should ask. NOPE! Not a bit.

Participantthere’s going to be way more to it than what we’ve seen thus far. Why do you think Stefano referred to Hope as his "little art thief?" This is going to get ugly, there’s no doubt in my mind. Then yesterday Stefano was so cock-sure of himself that I wanted to slap that stupid grin right off his and Kate’s faces when he was running off at the mouth to Marlena about John and Hope’s marriage (still illegal in my mind), and said how could he be blamed, because you can’t force them to get married….that they (J&H) did that all on their own, and who knows, they might find out before this is over that they just might want to keep it that way. Something tells me this is going to get very messy……do those computer chips he put in Hope’s and John’s brain still exist? OMG—-don’t go there writers….please just forget I said that! LOL. That’s all I need is for them to return to the Sci-Fi days of JER and I truly think that would do it for me. I only wish Marlena would have gotten up in Stefano’s face when he suggested that about not forcing a marriage and reminded him that is exactly what he did to Broomhilda,,,,I mean Kate,,,,by blackmailing her into marrying him. Ugh,,,,such a mess so far!

ParticipantYou don’t have to go to the country you were married in to get divorced. They can get it right here in the good ‘ol USA. They don’t care if they’re divorced in Alamania, they want to be divorced HERE! Have you ever…EVER… heard of someone having to go to another country in order to get divorced? Bah!

ParticipantAlice is the one that put Stefano’s envelope in the box so she knew what it said but Hope does not. Stefano put Hope’s envelope in the box and he has yet to open his own. If Stefano wants to he can find out what is in both envelopes.
