I swear I don’t know why I keep getting hooked on this show. It’s so obviously staged, at least in some respects. There is always the bad girl each season – this year the psychotic Tierra – and it’s simply implausible that of a field of 25 women almost every one at the end claims to be “in love.”
What gets me most is the home visits. How coincidental that every mom and dad takes the Bachelor aside for a chat and the dad usually gives his blessing from knowing this guy all of a couple hours.
At least last night saw some drama when one of the girl’s brothers called out Sean as a “playboy” and Sean ended up giving the girl the boot.
And the poor Bachelor – for every one it’s such a tortured decision at the end because he”s “falling” for more than one woman.
But yet I watch – how pathetic am I!every episode all the way through, I still watch the last 15 minutes each week to see who’s going home. Last night’s episode was interesting enough that I kept switching from a show I had recorded back to The Bachelor to see what was happening. I have the same opinion that you described about that show. It’s like this awful accident on the freeway that you know is not good for you to look at…yet you can’t stop! I heard on GMA this AM that Sean is a virgin. I think People Magazine has him on the cover with that headline. That would be very interesting when they get to the point in those last dates where they have the fantasy suite.
when she suggested he stay away from the girl who can’t get along with all the other girls in the house. Tierra was a drama queen, and I was glad Sean gave her the boot finally. She sure did act one way in front of him, all helpless and crying all the time, and then the claws emerged when she was in the house with the other girls without Sean. Sort of reminded me of Chloe Lane. LOL! I couldn’t wait for that girl to leave.
Like I knew Ashlee would go. She kept saying “this is my husband,” “he’s my soulmate.” A gorgeous woman (cheekbones to die for!) but too wound up in her past. And when she told Sean what kind of ring she wanted, I think that capped his decision.
But the rumor is Ashlee will be the next Bachelorette so apparently she gets over the “love of my life” pretty quick!plus, when she went into her drama on the final video, I think he may have thought he had another Tierra on his hands. Either way, I thought Ashlee was a gorgeous girl, but I’ve been partial to Lindsay for a while now. They just seem to fit together perfectly.
