to conclude if it would be an advantage or not. Like would the prosthetics give one more “spring” or not. Just watching it looked like a disadvantage if anything. I wish NBC would have gone into a bit more technical to explain that. But Oscar fell well out of the mix, so it seems a moot point. I felt kind of bad for the medal winners, as the coverage short-shrifted them in favor of Oscarmania. He was/is definitely a humble man.
I can only think of another situation – this one in golf where a guy was granted use of a cart to get around instead of walking, as he had some condition that required it. That one was really controversial.I never did understand why they can’t use carts in tournaments. Probably put all the caddies out of business! :o)
But, again, did that golfer have an advantage because he didn’t use up his energy walking? I think a case can be made on both sides.

Carli Lloyd, the girl who in 2008 made the gold medal winning goal and then again yesterday when they won the gold, she scored the two points for the US, she’s not only from my hometown, she lives two houses away from me. Well she did until she moved to travel with the women’s team professionally. It’s very exciting to watch someone you know personally, accomplish something so wonderful. I cried most of the game lol. My daughter LOVES her, and when she does come home to see her parents or for parades, she goes running over there
