Are Deimos and Nicole Really That Dumb?

I mean Deimos finally speculated that Chloe’s child “could” be Nicole and Daniel’s. And yet both don’t even carry it further. Like Chloe’s bizarre behavior, alienation from Nicole, her suddenly getting pregnant from a one night stand, etc. It is dumbfounding that neither takes that obvious next leap, particularly with Nicole so anxious to be a mom.
