Watching the scenes today between Nicole and EJ, I was once again struck by how really good Ari Zucker is. This woman can play such a range (loved her vulnerability today) and so believeably, she may just be the real star of Days. Definitely deserves an Emmy.
November 9, 2011 at 12:40 am #2844453tdogsParticipantstory lines she’s had. Ari can take any story line and make it good. I’ve always enjoyed watching her – even way back when, when she wasn’t a likeable character. Gosh, it seems like she has been on the show forever 1998??? , when I think back on her days with Eric way back when.
November 9, 2011 at 12:14 pm #28450BonbonParticipantAnd I noticed also how beautiful she looked, even without the false eyelashes and heavy make-up. I have to say, I was pretty mesmerized during those scenes. James wasn’t too shabby either.
I hope Days realizes what they have in her and don’t treat her like they did Eileen Davidson (over use), who I also thought was a real star to the show.
November 9, 2011 at 12:58 pm #28453PattiParticipantafraid to let herself get involved with E.J. again, and sensing that he’s not completely telling her the truth about how he feels. Keep your guard up, Nicole … I think you’re going to need it. If I thought for one nanosecond that E.J. was sincere and not just using Nicole to get his way, I would be all for this relationship; however, knowing what I know and realizing that this is a man who wouldn’t tell his grandmother the truth on her deathbed, I simply cannot root for them. I would, however, love to see Nicole give him a healthy dose of the bitter-tasting medicine he’s given her (couldn’t you still smell Taylor’s fragrance on that sofa, Nicole?). Nicole leaves the door open and invites hurt in, so I’m extremely skeptical about her doing it again where E.J.’s b/s is concerned.
November 9, 2011 at 3:15 pm #28474BonbonParticipantfor wanting Nicole back in his life? I can’t see any, that’s why I think he’s sincere.
November 9, 2011 at 4:35 pm #28480caseyParticipantI can put my finger on was when Stef and Kate brought up the advantage of having a wife for political office.
November 9, 2011 at 5:47 pm #2848653tdogsParticipantin his life, the kids, and perhaps a risidual feeling or two for what they once shared, but mostly, I think EJ (and you all
knowknew how I felt about ol’ snake EJ – sorry BonoSR), that Casey is indeed correct…a politician needs a wife, to hold all those dinner parties for fund raiseres, looks good in the eyes of the public as a lady and a Mother to his children, (although, Nicky has major baggage), but yes, EJ is thinking of EJ, and his political aspirations. EJ always looks at everything in this way, "How is this situation, person, item going to help me, Me, ME!"November 9, 2011 at 9:06 pm #28499PattiParticipantNothing E.J. does or says is about anything that does not help his situation. You’ll soon see what I’m talking about. I hated the way he was so cocky and sure of himself when he was talking to Nicole, telling her how much she still wanted him. If he cared so much about her and her feelings, he would not have made light of it like he did. I’m glad she decided to walk out the door. Maybe the next time he’ll think before he runs his mouth about how much he ‘knows’ she still wants him.
November 10, 2011 at 2:54 am #28518powerpaw2ParticipantI have no idea what she was doing before Days, but she is just amazing.
November 10, 2011 at 12:25 pm #28523BonbonParticipantActions speak louder than words and he actions looked to me like she still wants him. I mean, how many times was that during the storm. They were like a couple of rabbits.
And on that same topic…what red-blooded American man would sleep nude under the blankets with a nude female and not "do anything"? Talking about Brady and Madison. Yeah, sure Brady…you were a perfect gentleman. Did she take her own clothes off or did you help?
November 10, 2011 at 7:09 pm #2854653tdogsParticipantso true.
November 10, 2011 at 9:00 pm #28558PattiParticipantand I have yet to hear him say to Nikki, …. "and yes, I still love you." He’s a user and I hope she doesn’t fall for it. I would love to see Nicole find someone who will love her the way she wants and deserves to be loved.
November 10, 2011 at 10:51 pm #28565caseyParticipantshe’s going to cave? Delaying the divorce filing til after the election is not good!
November 10, 2011 at 11:21 pm #2856753tdogsParticipantheartbreak with EJ. Sometimes it just takes us very smart women a long time to learn…I hope that there is happiness all around in Salem at least for just a little awhile, but like someone else posted this past week, it (happiness) is not what makes the soap world go ’round…To bad, I’d really like to see some as the real headlines aren’t so bright these days and since the show is escapism from the "real" world…if we’re all going to escape for an hour every weekday, we might as well go to a "happy place" once in awhile!
November 14, 2011 at 3:51 am #28686justwonderingParticipantDidn’t she have that in Brady?
