Once bitten, twice shy
third time I didn’t think she was that dumb.November 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm #2869553tdogsParticipantNicole. However, if we look at the very long list of "true love" in Salem…we could be looking for a very lonnnnng time. It’s better when looking for the true love in Salem, (besides Tom and Alice, and Maggie and Mickey, Marlena and John, Bo and Hope) to say that most of the Salemites all adhere to the policy of the old song from Crosby, Still, "….Love the one you’re with…" for now. Some of the folks in Salem have had more "true loves" than all of us reading these posts put together I’d wager!
That’s even coming true now, I think with other people that we thought had "true love" – Rafe (not counting Sami because she is the leader on the list of "true love"), Carrie, (Austin besides Mike was "IT" for her)…and now look at the looks and smiles she’s been giving to Rafe. Unless the writers’s are playing us all….

Here’s my take on some of the people/couples in Salem
Marlena was with Don then Roman was her love and now John though we all know John is her soulmate
Sami = Austin, Brandon, Austin, Lucas, Austin, Rafe. With a little EJ thrown in on the side
Chloe = Phillip, Brady, Daniel
Jennifer = I feel Jack is her true love but she’s getting tired of being the one left holding everything together while he goes off on a childish adventure and scheme
Melanie = dont’ think she’s found true love yet
Phillip = doens’t know what that means. He wants what someone else does. He had Chloe in high school but was the jealous, posessive type. Then Belle when she wanted Shawn, then Melanie when Nathan wanted her.
Doug and Julie were made for each other
Victor never loved the women in his life except for Caroline, possibly Isabella’s mother and now Maggie.
Brady = is capable of loving deeply and I do believe Chloe was the one for him

Doug married Addie (Hope’s mother) before he was with Julie. there were times when they were not together.
Then there were all the separations for Hope and Bo.
Marlena and John also had breakups.
I think that the only couple who were always together were Tom and Alice.
November 15, 2011 at 11:22 am #28714BonbonParticipantdon’t forget that many of these liasons/marriages, were for reasons other than love. In fact, probably most of them. I think about the only "true loves" (with a few exceptions) were the ones Pammy mentioned above.

The others I mentioned were ones that found their "true love" in their minds then moved on as soon as the going got rough to another "true love". Those couples or people have no idea what real true love is.
