Umm Abby – she is not aunt Hope. She is cousin Hope lol
And I need cousin Hope and Aiden to stop rompin around at the Salem Inn. You are two adults – do neither of you own a home?! LOL
I call my mom’s cousins aunt and uncle. Technically, yes they are cousins, but considering our age difference, they are more like aunts and uncles. My kids call my cousins aunt and uncle too. It’s nothing I’d ever get picky about.
I think it’s more the norm than not. I do believe we are going to see Hope’s home as one of the returning sets, tonight, when she takes Aiden to her home (or at least her bedroom) after he is attacked. Also, I think tomorrow we will see the new writers’ names appear in the credits, but so far small changes have been popping up over the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow actually is the start of the new writers’ work, but tweaks to TomSell sls have been obvious for weeks now.
Hope’s home again. It’s been ages since we’ve seen that set. Wonder what other "old" sets we’ll get to see now.
Aunt and Uncle are terms that are often used when the age of "cousins" are much different. Although many of todays kids call older people (like their firends parents)by first names, we always had our children call even our close friends, Aunt and Uncle as a term of respect.
I think I read somewhere that we will be seeing John and Marlena’s, and that makes me very happy because it tells me that eventually they are going to put them back together. Can’t wait!
Were terms of endearment my parents taught us to call older adults who were close friends of my parents when Mr & Mrs was too formal. My kids use Miss or Mister (first name) often and no one seems to mind, (yet)
And my best friend is called Auntie Rebecca by my kids because calling her Ms. So and so, or by just her first name, is totally weird or inappropriate. She’s known all of them since before they were born. For all intents and purposes, she is family.
apparently it is up to the affiliate whether or not they want to show them because I never see them here on the Miami station. Maybe that’s why I have a hard time recognizing when characters are called by their real names because I never see them.
Jennifer and Hope are first cousins. Jennifer’s dad (Bill Horton) and Hope’s mom (Addie Horton) were brother and sister. Jennifer’s children and Hope’s children are second cousins to each other (the second generation of cousins). Here’s where it gets confusing. Hope and Abby are first cousins, once removed (meaning they are one generation removed from being actual first cousins). But everyone knew that already, right?
