How can you not like her (or say there’s no chemistry with Bo) if you’ve never seen her in this role, or with Bo???
If you didn’t see her before, you wouldn’t remember the scene with them in the bathtub on their Chicago trip. Whew! That scene was only surpassed, IMHO, by the one with Kayla and Patch up on the roof of the loft. VERY hot!
As for the age thingy, look at Tony and Stefano…only eight years apart IRL. If you watch Blue Blood, Tom Selek and the guy who plays his father are only 10 years apart also. I think the problem here is that Kate does not look her age.
March 13, 2012 at 5:40 pm #31738bluebonnetParticipantmore like 15 or 16 years apart? Not that even that age span is enough to seem real, though!
March 13, 2012 at 9:29 pm #31743BonbonParticipantI seemed to remember it being posted before that it was only eight years but I looked them up and actually they are 16 years apart. I wonder if I’ve mixed them up with some other father and son.
Sorry ’bout that. Next time I’ll check my facts before I post them.
March 14, 2012 at 1:10 am #31748shadowParticipantand it is totally different from the desk top I have. I haven’t watched DAYS yet, because I have been messing with this new toy. I’m sure this is not interesting to anyone, but I thought since a lot of people talk about thier personal business and problems, I could mention my new laptop. Now, I can watch DAYS on my DVR. Oh, this modern technology!!!!!!
March 14, 2012 at 3:01 am #31749DeeLanParticipantI love new computers
March 14, 2012 at 7:51 am #31752BonbonParticipantWell, at least I do. And I’m probably the worst offender here for writing about personal stuff and nobody has yelled at me about it…yet. :o)
I know what you say about laptops. I don’t have one because I tried and tried but I can’t get used to the keyboard. It just doesn’t feel like the desktop one. I also hate the touch pad. I used one for a couple of months (borrowed one before I bought) and gave it back and said, "No thanks."
But, it would be nice to have one when I travel. The only problem is, you can hardly have two because you can’t always be duplicating everything you do on one unto the other. So, I’ll stay in the dark ages.
Good luck with yours though. Both of my kids and their spouses wouldn’t have anything but a laptop.
March 14, 2012 at 12:02 pm #31754DebbiParticipantI hated the touch pad as well when I got my lap top. I was in Staples, and saw a "mini mouse" it is a tiny mouse and plugs into a USB port on the lap top. So I went in and told the laptop to not use the touch pad and now only use the mini mouse. It is really easy now and I love my lap top. Only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t have the numbers on the side of the keyboard, like a regular keyboard. I use the numbers for work all the time, so am very used to them. Have to look down to use the numbers on the top of the letters.
March 14, 2012 at 12:32 pm #31755SWParticipanton the side of the keyboard anymore. Once you get the keyboard that isn’t tethered, the numbers appear only at the top. I like the touch pad for somethings and the mouse for others. They keyboards on laptops are smaller than the ones for most desktops although all seem to be getting smaller. Bonbon, for travel – the iPad – super light and does most stuff you need to do.
March 14, 2012 at 3:00 pm #31762DeeLanParticipantI had a laptop I used for 5 years and when it came time for a new computer I wanted to go back to a desktop. Laptops are nice for people who are mobile which I wasn’t. I now have my desktop with full keyboard and numbers on the side but we bought m keyboard with the specifications I wanted. We also builty my computer from scratch so it’s exactly what I want. Don won’t buy a pre-made computer for anything. It’s also cheaper for a desktop to buy the case and each component separately and get exactly what you want and be able to upgrade parts easily without having to get an entirely new computer.
I have a tablet that I like for portability but I won’t work using it. It’s too hard to type using the touchpad and I’m always hitting the screen in the wrong place and getting funky spelled words. I don’t even check emails on it since I want all my emails in one spot for business. They do have keyboards you can get to use with the tablets adn when I had my laptop Don bought me a numbers only keypad that I could power via USB or put a small battery in and use it as a calculator without the computer. That was the best. t was the size of a calculator
March 14, 2012 at 4:04 pm #31771justwonderingParticipantI got an Acer laptop for Christmas 2010 from my kids and I love it. It has the number pad on it but I rarely use it. The touch pad does take some getting use to. What I love most is you can sit on your favorite chair and watch tv and use the computer at the same time. Also it can go with you on vacation etc. We still have a desk top but I don’t use it that often.
March 14, 2012 at 4:34 pm #31775DCola522ParticipantWhile I didn’t watch when Lisa R. originally came to Days, I was watching when she most recently reprised the role (maybe 6 years ago?) so I have seen her with Bo before. To me, they didn’t have chemistry. You’re right, I’ve never seen the bathtub scene… but I guess it’s just a preference on my part. I liked Julie P.
March 14, 2012 at 6:08 pm #31782DeeLanParticipantTouchpads use to only refer to the little pad that moves the curser also called Trackpads (I HATE THOSE). Now touchpad is a term used for devices that don’t have an external keyboard but keyboards that appear on screen. My tablet has one. Hit a button and a keyboard pops up on the screen and that’s what you use to type. No mouse, no trackpad, no way to control where you’re typing except to touch the screen where you want it to go. Very difficult to correct a typo after the fact without deleting each letter back to the mistake. I’ve noticed on forums I go to when people are on their iPads or other mobile devices they always have typos.
March 14, 2012 at 6:50 pm #31784NoraParticipantI love my iPad. It took me a little while to get used to the keyboard. I still can’t stand it doesn’t have arrows to point and click in an email or something, you have to touch the place and sometimes it seems impossible and ticks me off, lol. Otherwise I don’t regret buying it. I didn’t love it on my old phone, it always annoyed me to talk on it because if you touched the screen it would hand up! my new phone doesn’t have a touch screen and when I first got it I would still try and touch something, Lol.
