Caught up on the past few weeks. I’m absolutely hating Robo Rafe’s return. Is RC so lazy that he couldn’t come up with anything better. No wonder he was fired. I hope this storyline is short lived.
I can’t believe we were all led to believe that Johnny and Joy actually had sex. Why the heck didn’t we get the full story? This is like a big joke played on the audience. We all thought there had been way more going on than this. On top of the joke being on us, this split between Johnny and Chanel will be short lived. I can already see Abe and Paulina trying to put them back together. A useless storyline.
What was up with NYE? Alex & Joy, Stephanie & Phillip, just seemed yucky. The only people I liked getting together were JJ and Gabi. I really like them together.
I really miss John. I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it when the character dies. I’m sure all of the scenes filmed without him were hard for DH and EM.
Lastly, spoilerish stuff—the actress who plays Sophia will be recast in February. I don’t know why. I really think the current actress is quite good. Also the actress that plays Rachel will be recast in April. They are not SORASing her so I don’t know the reason. The current actress is 10 and the new actress is 9.
Johnny’s “non-cheating” storyline is beyond ridiculous! I agree with Paulina’s response when she first heard from Chanel that there was no sex: “Then why are you so upset?” It really is a useless storyline, at least so far. Speaking of Paulina and of people leaving the show, I have heard rumors of Paulina’s leaving. Anyone know if there is truth to that? I heard about Sophia’s and Rachel’s re-castings, and like you, can’t imagine why they need to be replaced. The actress who plays Rachel is spot-on bratty and is the epitome of Kristin!
After posting, I heard the actress left to go to college, like the original Tate. I can’t fault someone for wanting to advance their education. I’m sure when she took this roll, it was only supposed to be a short lived or rarely onscreen character. Now that Sophia is pregnant, I’m sure the roll is more intense and going to be onscreen more often.
I had a suspicion that Johnny and Joy didn’t do the deed since they kept talking around it. It was poor writing to have Johnny all of a sudden think he saw Alex with Chanel. About two minutes before that they were a solid couple. Makes no sense, seems out of character for Johnny not to trust his wife and then take up with a stranger in a bar. What was the purpose of this entire story? Just to break up J and C?
I hope they put an interesting spin on the faux Rafe story and not have us watch the real Rafe sit in the basement for weeks. Keep it moving.
I’m looking forward to the Philip/forgery story. Glad Stef knows and looks like she’s going to tell Sarah unless she gets interrupted first.
Do you think Aaron is the father of Sophia’s baby?
Ooh, I never thought of Aaron being the father. Although, we haven’t seen proof of Sophia really being pregnant. We have to take her word for it right now. I’m also a little suspicious of her mother who is insisting on Tate and Sophia getting married. Why didn’t she suggest adoption, if she’s so pro-life? I’ll be honest, I think this storyline is not being written well. I get that the writers are pro-choice, but the whole storyline is just being written poorly. Is Salem in IL? I’ve dealt with the medical system in that state. My youngest went to an eating disorder treatment center there. If you are over 13 in the state of IL, you can make your own medical decisions without parental consent. So I’m already frustrated with the sl, because of the falseness of this narrative.
They lead us to believe that Salem is near Chicago but still refer to it as Salem, USA, LOL. I think she and Tate are going for a check up and ultrasound this week.
There’s got to be some glitch in her story-I can’t imagine her marrying Tate, having the baby and living happily ever after.Also I can’t believe how dumb Brady is acting by not insisting on a paternity test. Tate keeps saying we were careful, that should be a clue to get the test. Of course this is Salem, so you can’t always believe the results. Mama Teresa would insist on a test.
