So okay, after a year of Bo’s absence, now we hear he could be away a year or more?? What family man goes undercover with no contact this long? And misses over two years of his childrens’ lives – right. Days really needs to be severely (hear that producers?) criticized for dragging along this character for unheard of time. No one is indispensible. Are viewers truly waiting with baited breath for Bo’s return? At this point would they be shattered to learn PR will definitely never re-sign?
Days survived nicely with RKK in the role. Why not have Bo return at some point in the near future, his altered apperance easily explained by this mission?
I know this will open the door to Hope’s romance with the lawyer and yet another enfant terrible character in Ciara. Oh joy! And even if there proves to be chemistry between the pair (which I haven’t seen yet), phantom Bo will always be hanging over the couple.
Is Days hoping for another John/Marlena reunion SL? Of course the difference here is PR will likely never return.Peter Reckell has no intention of returning and feels negotiations are at a standstill. As a matter of fact, I just read something recently that he and his wife, Kelly Moneymaker, were moving to, I believe, Tennessee. Thing is PR still tweets on Days fan board and last few I saw he was asking fans to continue asking for his return and for TPTB to “keep the door open”. Doesn’t look like he’ll be walking through it, though, unless he gets what he wants, and I don’t think TPTB are willing to negotiate any further on the matter, but since KC made that ridiculous promise to not kill Bo off, and that the door would always be open, PR can take all the time he needs to hold the show hostage until his needs are met. Ridiculous man…. ridiculous PTB.
Incidentally, Ciara is really a bratty little girl, and Hope is an enabler. That kid was extremely rude to Aiden today, and I just don’t think she’s cute anymore, and I certainly don’t think she’s funny, but more like Sami called it; she is a little manipulator used to getting what she wants, and now with Bo’s undetermined absence, she’ll probably be getting more than expensive earrings from anyone and everyone she decides she can con into feeling sorry for her. Sami was 100% right with Hope today, and I’m glad she turned on her heels and walked out on Hope’s reprimand. If Hope keeps this up, not only is she creating a monster, but she will be alone for a very, very, very, very, very long time.
has no intentions of returning how come he’s asking to keep the door open? That tells me he’s just to blame as the producers and if I were Days I would either kill off the character or go on a mission to recast someone with charisma and appeal. If they could do it with Wayne Northrup to Drake, they can do it with Peter. And maybe they could even find a new star.
But it’s no man’s land here and viewers are the losers.it’s like he doesn’t want to return unless he gets what he wants, but he still wants his fan base to be extremely upset about it. I agree with you, but if I have to wait another year for him or the show to make up their mind and keep KA in a hostage situation by not allowing her to move on, then I, too, say dump him. I would rather they kill him off than replace Bo with another actor. He’s been gone for such a long time, I just don’t care abut him any longer.
While I don’t condone this storyline, in real life deep undercover can last for a long time. During that time, the family IS NOT in touch with the person which often leads to divorce and alienation from the family. It is a really tough life. However, this SL is no more unbelievable than Jack and his many years of absence especially the last "walk about"!!!
As for this SL, it is time for Hope to say "Enough, it is time that I need to do what is right for myself and my daughter". Her first responsibility is to set Ciara straight and get a handle on her behavior. I must say the actress is playing brat very well. If I remember, Hope always had daddy tied around her finger and also had her wild days.
AS far as Sami is concerned, she should recognize Ciara cause she is acting alot like the young Sami.
All of these characters have had their sild, bratty moments, (Jennifer too), it’s like the only wasy TPTB know what to do with kids!!!!
As for Peter, NO ONE is irreplaceable–dumb BO or recast.
