but in all fairness, Panthers looked pretty bad …. but WE LOOKED GREAT, and that’s all I can say about that. Bet they (Panthers) are totally sorry they cut Smith, Sr. He’s one of the oldest guys on the team, yet one of the most agile, swift, great hands and legs, and can be seen all over the field at times. Love having him. Work cut out for us next week with the Colts, though!!!

Yes, I saw some of the Bills game on another network; still early, so maybe when they watch the tapes they’ll have an opportunity to correct some mistakes when getting ready next week.

Right now I’m gearing up to watch the start of post-season baseball and keeping my fingers crossed for the O’s. We don’t have much luck with Detroit, though…so, we’ll see how that goes.

for the Bills brass to make a QB change. Former Dallas backup Kyle Orton will start Sunday against the dangerous Lions. Will be interesting to see what Orton brings to the table.

how bout those Ravens! Joe Flacco with 5 TD passes – who does he think he is – Peyton Manning?! Hehe. I know the Bucs aren’t world beaters but nonetheless another pounding victory.
Meanwhile my Bills just will never beat the Pats. All the talk of the Patriots on the declin and Brady washed up – just look at them over the past two weeks. Hoping their killer schedule might afford the Bills some leeway but not holding my breath.

Joe was “on the money” today, scoring 35 points in the first half, and adding on a Justin Tucker field goal. I was thrilled with his performance today. And, he’s such a calm and humble guy. Guess that’s why they call him “Joe Cool.” At least I got some satisfaction and a great big smile from football today. Now, I’m hoping for all it’s worth that the Orioles get some pay-back in KC; but, like you, I’m not holding my breath — just hoping we can come back.

With 6 weeks in, Bills still look good to me, but what a week for Brady to find his groove again.

Patti, the Ravens are really showing consistency in the midst of “on any given Sunday.” Geesh, Seattle lost its second in a row, Cincy gets blanked, Jags bounce Browns, wacky outcomes. And what about the last second victory by my Bills. Pulled out a one point win with one second left! Bills won ugly today and lost both their running backs which is crushing. But rookie receiver Sammy Watkins looking like a budding star.

that Bills win in the last 5 seconds of the game was stupendous. Got to see a lot of it on the NFL RedZone channel (which I flip to whenever Ravens go to commercial)!!! Happy to see that both Seattle and Cincinnati lost yesterday as well. Ravens looked good again this week, with a good defensive performance and an offense that seems to be getting stronger each week. Hats off to both our teams this week, and there’s no such thing as an “ugly” win to me casey. a “W” is all that counts, whether it’s by 1 or 51. The Bills are really exciting to watch this season, and it’s great to chat with you every week about the scores. Obviously, our teams will be meeting along the way to the playoffs (or further), so guess that’s when we’ll have our “throw-down” but, in the meantime, I enjoy talking about the games with you. Let’s keep it rolling!!!

Patti, so sorry about the Ravens, but the way the league is going, there is gong to be a lot of traffic vying for the playoffs. That makes for excitement, though heart palpitations too!
On the plus side, my Bills finally had an easy game against the Jets who are truly a team of struggle. The Jets QB had three interceptions in the first ten minutes! Buffalo is now 5-3 going into their bye – great two weeks to enjoy this fun!

and congrats, casey. The Bills didn’t just win the game, they SLAUGHTERED the Jets. They look fabulous this season, and I’m really rooting for you and Buffalo, and from the looks of the Bills, they have no intention of letting up. Great to see them turn this team around.

Yeah, too bad the Ravens lost by another field goal, but I saw so many mishaps in yesterday’s game. Hope we can pull it together next week when we play the Steelers, who won again yesterday; but the Ravens have a lot of game tapes to watch before then. Not giving up on beating them, but improvement is definitely needed in more than one place on our team. It’s not just one person or persons’ fault, we need improvement in more places than one, starting with special teams. God, our safeties and corners look horrible.

scary good. Big Ben had six TDs for the second time in his career. I know this is a huge rivalry between them and your Ravens. Should be a great one!
Meanwhile, the game I’m looking forward to Sunday night is Denver vs NE. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Patti, condolences on Ravs loss. But your guys ran into a smokin’ hot Big Ben. 12 TD passes in 2 games – yowee! The good news is no one is running away with that division and you all still play each other. But Pittsburgh looks like they are on a steamroller right now.
I cannot predict anything this season – Miami looks awful early and now wins 3 in a row including a smackdown of Chargers. And Chargers looked unstoppable early on and they now lose three in a row.
As for my divisional Patriots everyone was claiming them washed up and as usual they spring back to look like juggernauts. Not good news for the Bills.

we were horrible.  That rivalry is and always will be one of the NFL’s greatest; unfortunately, we didn’t bring our game, and they did.  This division is the only one where all teams are over 500, so it’s still anybody’s game there, but the way we’re playing this season, I have serious doubts.  I look forward to a somewhat easier schedule over the next 3 or 4 games, but doubtful we’ll get back to that Superbowl team this season.  The Steelers look good, but I wouldn’t put any money on them beating either the Pats or the Broncos.  As for the Ravens, we’re beating ourselves and not protecting Joe at all.  It’s hard to find your receivers when you’re laying on your back.  Needless to say, I’ll be rooting for Cleveland Thursday night.  LOL!

is, on paper anyway, what appears to be the easiest schedule of the competition. No one can predict this wacky year!

Patti, your Ravens bounced back nicely this week – good for them!
I have no idea who will take that division. Pittsburgh looked invincible the past two weeks and who but the lowly Jets beat them. What a logjam that willno doubt go down to the wire.
As for my Bills a crushing defeat in a game they should have won. Two deadly fumbles killed them and it hurts especially siince Miami lost and Bills could have gained on them. Now we’ve got this Thursday night game in Miami and I do not feel good about it at all. Being a football fan is so frustrating!

to me that we’re a half game out of first place in our division, as well as a half game out of last place.  I agree, we bounced back; but, to be quite honest, the Titans are not a very good team this year, so even though we got the "W", I have to face reality and hope that next week’s bye will be the well deserved rest we need right now, after 10 street weeks of playing smash-mouth football.  I need to see that we can start feeling good about playing teams like the Broncos, Patriots and Cardinals.  At the very least, improvement in our secondary is a must, as well as a much more effective offensive line.  Still love having Joe Cool at QB, but I have to wonder how long his body can take those beatings he seems to take very week.

Tough loss for your Bills yesterday.  I thought they would pull out the victory, but you’re so right about turning the ball over.  Thursday night games are not good for my liking.  Shorter week of rest for teams that play on Sunday, but you know I’ll be wishing you good luck and rooting for the Bills, especially since we have Miami coming up in a few weeks, too.

Football has always been my number one spectator sport, with baseball second, but that’s about it.  But I agree, it’s very frustrating at times.  I’ll say this much; I’d rather watch one day of football on the NFL RedZone channel where I can see portions of every game played on Sunday that watch one day of the crap we’re watching 5 days a week on DOOL.  LOLOL!!!  Go Bills and Ravens!!!
