ParticipantThis week in Denver has been a Blast !! so tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for, I am excited and nervous.
If there are any Seahawks fan here , good luck to you , but I bleed Orange and Blue …. GO Broncos …February 1, 2014 at 6:03 pm #42642Patti
Participantthis is the Broncos year, and Peyton deserves this one for the comeback he’s made since joining the Broncos. His stats this year are off the charts, so I’m so hoping for a Manning/Broncos win and becoming this year’s S/B champs!

ParticipantI’m more than willing to root for…who are they now? LOL…just kidding!
This year I get to go to a big-deal, high-class, bang-up Super Bowl party and I don’t even have a team to root for. What fun is that? Guess I’ll have to watch the ads.

Participantwhich wasn’t expected. I’m an AFC gal and I believe the Broncs will take it, but anxious to see how big bad Sherman and his defensive corps will handle the Manning passing game. Always looking forward to the Budweiser Clydesdale ads! The sheep streaker at the football game is my all-time fav.

ParticipantThey almost always bring a tear to my eye. I sometimes wonder why more commercials can’t be like theirs. Maybe it’s just because I’m an animal lover and those horses are such beautiful creatures, especially the young ones.

Participantwith the Clydesdales, and I cannot imagine anyone or anything beating it. Superb, as usual.

Participantwith Erin Andrews of Fox Sports in his post-game interview after the Seattle win over the 49ers, I sort of hope he personally takes a good a$$ kickin’ today! LOL!

Participantmight impact Manning’s leagacy as potential best ever QB. His teams have lost a lot of playoff games and there has to be some question about how he handles the big pressure events. But hand it to the Seahawks – especially that punishing defense.

Participantand I loved, loved, loved it! I watched how they actually made the commercial and how the crew and actors got the pup as well as the horse to do the nose nudge and other things. Afterward, they all were applauding like they were human actors instead of animals, and also looked like they were going to cry over the success of it. It was really sweet.

Participantcongrats to the Seahawks and to Russell Wilson, who did not get the car for MVP though; that went to Seahawks linebacker, Malcom Smith. I could not help but feel sorry for Peyton (and you, too, Maxine), but I agree that it may definitely affect his legacy, especially if he decides to retire after this. Not that I expect it, but it would not be the way I would want to remember him going out.
Broncos had no offense, and their defense never did come to the party. The Seahawks defense, however, were unbelievably awesome, and what can I say about Russell Wilson that hasn’t been proven —- except for those who believed he was too small to be successful as an NFL quarterback. Great job.
As for one player who may have gotten a little karma, Sherman was not “THE GREATEST CORNER IN THE NFL” yesterday, so, yes, he’s the only black eye the Seahawks may have deserved getting, AFAIC.

ParticipantI don’t recall any Bronco beating Sherman in the game. Granted he didn’t do much –2 tackles and one defended pass, there really anything coming his way. Obviously he was in on the play that got him hurt, but I don’t think it was karma.
IMO, he didn’t do anything wrong ecscept be really pumped up after the 49ers game and perhaps over reacted. But then most people get pumped over football so imagine being a player!!!
The Seahawks played a perfect game and definitely deserved to win. They were prepared to play and determined to win.
I am not sure what happened to the Broncos other than the team must have believed every sports reporters’ hype that they were unbeatable and Payton walked on water.
THe old adage is true–offense wins games but defense wins shampionships.

Participantwhen he took that after-the-game interview with Erin Andrews of Fox News. He came across as a bully …. who may be a legend in his own mind, but by far is NOT the best corner in the NFL, which he proclaims to be and he’s said it more than once. He’s pumped up alright …. but more like full of hot air. He took some heat for it, too, but I’m sure it rolled off him like water off a duck’s back. I thought the Seahawks played a masterful game, but he bullied that reporter and, personally, I was glad he did NOT get the chance to spout his arrogance again. JMO!!!

ParticipantI listen a certain segment of 105.7 The Fan practically every morning, a sports radio station here in Baltimore, (mainly because there’s so much going on with the Orioles right now), and there was an interesting piece about Seattle’s Richard Sherman this a.m. He (Sherman) gave an interview and said that Peyton Manning was the “classiest guy he had ever met”, simply because he (Peyton) came up to Sherman after the game to check on him to see if he was alright and Peyton shook his hand and wished him good luck. Sherman told the interviewer that he was so impressed with Peyton doing that, and only hoped that he (Sherman) could “take a lesson from it for his own self.” Now, that was pretty classy on Sherman’s part, too, IMO!!
