What a cheeseball episode today was!!! That flipping back and forth b/t Sami and the funeral… CORNY!!! I’m sorry, I have ZERO emotional investment in Officer Bernadi – or his wife/kid. Again, if he would have gotten a little insight into his life as a family man (like we mentioned in the past here on this board) then MAYBE it would have had some emotional affect on me. But since we didn’t it just came across today as cheesy!!!
Also – can we PLEASE give Daniel someone to talk to OTHER than Maggie? Can we please give Maggie something to do OTHER than meddle? Can we PLEASE have Jennifer crack JJ across the face? LOL
How many of us have walked into a mall and there before you is this ginormous portrait of a slain police officer, as was the case with the oh so crooked Officer Bernardie’s portrait, right there in the middle of the Square? Lord, I wanted to write to somebody about that one.

I always thought that the HTS was an outdoor space in the middle of town, surrounded by shops and restaurants. Since it seems to be the gathering space for the town, I assumed that is why the police memorial service was there. After all, the debate between Abe and EJ was at the square.
the HTS was an indoor/outdoor mall. Seems weird that they would conduct a ‘decorated’ police officer’s memorial service there. Again, like Nicole’s arrival at the Capitol, Mrs. Bernardi was at the courthouse before her husband’s coffin was out the door. I’m assuming there was a coffin, since they gave the flag to Timmy. A little too much for me. However, I did like the pacing between the scenes from the memorial service coupled with the scenes from Sami’s grand jury hearing. That was a much better effect.
We had a patrol man killed here a few weeks ago and othe than the drive down I-5 in his honor and the funeral procession, there was no photo of him in the mall. I didn’t see a picture anywhere in town.
