What in the world is wrong with Caroline. She has really gone nuts. I thought she would bust a blood vessel, the way she was raving on. she’s trying to play God and control the situation that is really none of her business. Well, nobody in Salem lets it stop them from butting in to everyone elses business. Ever since Caroline(in real life) got her face lift, I have a hard time even looking at her.
Speaking of Stephanie, how many times did they have to show her and Nathan in bed. Thank goodness for ff.
ENOUGH of Carly and Bo!!!!!!
November 2, 2010 at 4:11 am #17587NoraParticipantAgree! I posted something on the spoilers page about Caroline, I think she hasnt been the same since Shawn died. The whole mess with Maggie, Victor, and Vivian pushed her over the edge I think, He chose 2 others and not her.
and agree about Nathan and Steph, I posted about that too. what a pathetic proposal! they need to give him a meaty SL he’s just a snooze fest!
November 2, 2010 at 5:19 am #1758853tdogsParticipantlong before Vivy ever came back, even just keeping Victor as a close friend for a while if she wasn’t ready for a relationship after Shawn’s passing. Victor deeply cared for Caroline and he wished for something to happen between them. I was sorry to see that they didn’t work out, (Caroline’s fault), but I’m so happy that he’s got or is getting Maggie when Vivy gets put in her place, or somewhere.
Stephanie is going to be fun to watch for once when she comes unglued at the seems when Nathan finds out what Stephanie did in trying to switch the lab tests and if he and Mel get closer when and if Mel finds out about Phillip and Chloe (and you know she will, nothing ever stays a secrect in Salem).
I just had an amusing thought…when I typed the words "lab and switch" guess who has a know-how and history of lab tampering came to mind???? Ha-ha – Sami really did the lab switch !
November 2, 2010 at 12:47 pm #17590caseyParticipantAre the writers trying to get us to believe that since losing Shawn Caroline has become the elder *itch in Salem? This woman was always strong and sensible. If she “lost” Vic, it was her own choosing long ago. Since Shawn’s death she’s never even shown any interest in her old flame and we’ve hardly seen them together.
I could understand a depression over Shawn’s death, but this blatant personality change is not in character at all.
Changing the paternity results – doing anything to “save my family”- is simply ridiculous.
I am hoping Days didn’t do a 180 on her just for da plot. If Caroline is suffering from some disorder, it could be interesting if written credibly. Other than that, I’m just not buying this.November 2, 2010 at 1:44 pm #17593PattiParticipantgive Caroline a brain tumor. That’s the only logical explanation for this beloved character to change so radically and become such a biotch! She was off the charts yesterday. I thought she was going to burst into flames at any moment. I wish Kayla wasn’t leaving, because neither her lunatic mother nor her dysfunctional, insecure daughter are going to speak up and tell the truth. The writers have been slowly dismembering the real Caroline Brady over the past several months and replacing her with this pod-woman we see before us now.
November 2, 2010 at 1:51 pm #17594BonoSugaRayParticipantAlthough I dislike how the Caroline character is acting as of late, I totally am glad that the writers are giving this amazing actress the opportunity to ‘show her stuff’ once again (as is the case for all the veterans on the show)! I’m glad she just isn’t in the Brady Pub with the grandchildren, watching life pass her by. I’m actually sort of excited with the route, overall, the writers are taking with this character! Despite her paternity switching thingy – which I hate – it will be interesting to see what other kind of ‘devilment’ (that’s what the old folks call it) the writers will have her getting into in the next few years! Assuming that Caroline is really jealous of Maggie and Victor’s budding relationship, wouldn’t it be a shocker if she – down the line – joined forces with VIVIAN to keep ’em apart?! LOL Can y’all imagine Vivian and Caroline as BAD GIRLS of Salem?! LOL That would be awesome! [Picture Caroline…and Vivian in skin tight leather pants and jackets, chewing hard on gum, with five-inch heels on, foxy hair dos and red lipstick to boot! LOL LOL]
November 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm #17595justwonderingParticipantI actually liked New Caroline. Not only that but I can understand why she did what she did. She lived with the guilt of BO’s real father all those years. SHe also knows that Victor finding out caused huge problems with her family. Shelived it and she is passionate about it. I thought she was believable and great.
November 2, 2010 at 2:07 pm #17597DeeLanParticipantPerhaps they’re going to write Caroline as having the early stages of Alzheimers. I remember before my uncle was diagnosed he had a personality change. Once easy going, hardly ever saw him upset or mad about anything and suddenly the slightest thing set him off. He became obsessed over the checkbook and was always counting his money. When my aunt finally saw the bank balance she was shocked that their entire savings was gone and had no idea what he’d done with it.
November 2, 2010 at 2:11 pm #17599PattiParticipanthowever, I agree about giving the vets a good story line instead of continuously delegating them to be built-in babysitters. I just wish they would have given Caroline a different story-line instead of this one. I was hoping that they would have made Caroline the driver of the car that hit Arianna, or possibly the one who really shot E.J. Now either of those story lines I could have believed, but not this one.
November 2, 2010 at 3:44 pm #17603BonoSugaRayParticipantYeah, I agree. I was hoping too, that she’d be the driver who hit Ari, instead of the person who switched the paternity…I still for the life of me can’t figure out just HOW she even knew anything about Chloe cheating on Dan, and the baby possibly NOT being his, in order to even make efforts to switch the test?!?! I highly doubt Steph was discussing the matter with her. How DID she get in the "know" about it all?
November 2, 2010 at 3:49 pm #17604caseyParticipantto descend into this character? Days has been “reinventing” some of its major cast for awhile now w/ mixed results. While yes, it would be fun to see an off the wall Caroline, I could enjoy it for a bit, but only if circumstances warranted it. Otherwise, it’s totally out of left field and the reasoning- jealousy – is far too flimsy for me.
November 2, 2010 at 4:02 pm #17605NoraParticipantI think she told Kayla she over heard STeph and Ian talking about it. how Stephanie said that Mel would run right into Nathan’s arms crying about Phillip. how else do people find out about things in Salem? They eavesdrop!
November 2, 2010 at 4:45 pm #1760753tdogsParticipant(knowing how to switch the lab results), in the family since granddaughter Sami has always been doing the same story (for years) "save my family" and switching baby results!
November 2, 2010 at 6:43 pm #17611dvalParticipantI like the early stage alzheimer theory. It makes much more sense because Caroline seems to have lost her marbles all together (another old folks saying, I guess, LOL). They might even have her be the one who shot EJ using the same logic for why she switched the DNA. She wants Sami to be able to be happy with Rafe so she figured she would get rid of EJ for her. Farfetched, I know, but with DOOL writers, who knows.
November 2, 2010 at 7:29 pm #1761453tdogsParticipantfor the writer’s to take Carolines story down that path, than their normal baby switch/they slept with everyone/they are dead but not really because it was an evil twin/ etc., ho-hum story line! I think SP folks can come up with much better stories and resolutions to story lines any day of the week and twice on Sundays!
