Boy, last night’s show was really good.  Maybe because I really liked the 7-Up project (I loved both the cans, wonder if they’ll use either one.  It could save them a lot of money by doing so.) and am looking forward to the final presentation.

Whoever it was that predicted John and Marlee as the final two hit it right on the head.  I was pretty sure JR but I though it would be Star instead.  I sure felt sorry for Meatloaf when he got the ax and noticed a little quiver in his chin.  I think his emotions were just an excuse to fire him.  If he were actually vieing for a job with Trump I could understand but he was only there to raise money for his charity.

Although I think John Rich is very deserving (he apprears to be a very bright and kind guy), I’m going to have to root for Marlee.  From what I’ve seen so far, either one of them could win this latest challenge and it’d be okay with me.

Loved seeing the past three CA winners.  I really can’t stand Piers but I’ve watched his show (the old Larry King show) and he’s extremely intelligent and an excellent interviewer.  He asked the final four some really good/tough questions and seemed to be playing the devil’s advocate in each case.  But I still don’t like him.  I think his appearances on America’s Got Talent ruined him for me.

and I did like Meat’s box as boombox idea. Meatloaf though, is SO emotional his problem is getting his thoughts out in under five minutes.
I might be a shade worried about the retro can. Company heads are so protective of their branding, the zebra design might not make 7up instantly recognizable. I’ll be interested to see how that plays.
I love the audition idea for the commercial and then Dee Snider hits them with the original. But looks like it might hit a snag next week?
This last task is the best I’ve seen on this show.

exactly the way it should be.  Meatloaf was terrific, but the surprise panel from past Celebrity Apprentice years who interviewed each of them (Richard Hatch, Joan Rivers and Pierce Morgan) were right on the money.  Meatloaf is indeed far too emotional.  The guy is crying his eyes out one minute, real tears and all, then threatening to shove a phone down somebody’s throat the next.  Not that he didn’t do a good job, but I honestly am surprised this guy is alive between his extravagant Type-A personality one minute, and total collapse into tears the next.  Not a very good trait to have if you want to be around for a while, and I don’t mean Celebrity Apprentice, I mean living your life.

I did not call John Rich as being in the finals, but I did call Marlee.  She knew just when to put her two cents in, and how to keep riding the wave.  She’s smart, beautiful, and a terrific fundraiser — exactly someone The Donald would want representing the show.  My vote on the 7-Up design goes to Marlee’s team as well.  I just couldn’t see the tiger striped cans and cartons representative of 7-Up.  Marlee’s had just the right of amount of pizzazz to make it new, yet still keep it "7-Up," if I’m expressing what I mean here.  In other words, John’s was too far out and too much of a change.  Marlee’s was eye-catching and very retro, but still would not be mistaken for 7-Up on the shelves of your local market.

Incidentally, there was a "Donald Trump Roast" on last week that contained mostly comedians roasting the big guy (funny but pretty raw), and one of the members of the roasters was none other than Marlee Matlin.  It just seemed strange that no other person from the show was on.  I sorta’ took that as a sign.

Although I do like the zebra can.  I can see that popping out on the shelves.  But I agree on the boom box.  It was too busy to see the 7-Up logo.

They always seem to throw a big monkey wrench in the final task just to see how they’ll handle it.  Interesting, yes, very.  Can’t wait until next week.

My bet is on John as the winner but would like it to see Marlee take it.  BTW, I think Marlee had a small advantage with her deafness.  She didn’t hear some of the bickering and bad ideas that was going on behind her back and only got what her interpreter chose to sign.  It’s pretty hard when several people are talking to get everything to her.

Did you notice that all during the brainstorming time, Star was sitting in front of her computer, not offering any ideas?  She’s such a turd!

Casey, I think you meant Brett Michaels as the interviewer, not Richard Hatch.
