Does anybody watch this show? I particularily like the celebrity ones because it gives us a good insight as to what some of these "celebrities" (usually the D-List) are really like. I loved getting to know Brett Michaels last year and to find out what a great guy he really was. Also, to learn what a scum-bag Dennis Rodman is…not that I didn’t already suspect as much.
Anyway, the reason for my post was I saw a promo last night and Lisa Rinna will be in this new one. Man, she’s a lot like Ali Sweeney, she’s everywhere. I read she’s in the running for taking over Regis’ spot too.

I don’t watch Regis and Kelli too much but I like the banter between the two and how they play off each other. I don’t see that happening with 2 women up there and I think it would be boring and get lost.

February 3, 2011 at 2:49 pm #20613BonbonParticipantRegis is NOT retiring. He left after they asked him to take a salary cut. He’s said on a couple of other shows (ET, and Piers Morgan for two) that he had some other "stuff" in the works.
They did once have an all male talk show. Mario Lopez, Danny Bonaducci, Dick Clark and two others were on it. I really liked it but I guess it died in the ratings.
TPTB don’t think a two woman show will make it either. They really need the interaction and opinions of both the male and female perspectives.
February 3, 2011 at 3:29 pm #20616PattiParticipantand thought he was retiring completely. God knows, he sure doesn’t need the money, but he is still a very funny and entertaining host of that show and has been for how many years now? I love his wife, Joy, when they work together as well. If he is going into other areas, then good for him, but I was under the impression he was retiring from show business altogether. I hope he does continue somewhere, and he and Letterman will probably still be working until they drop. Hard to believe David Letterman has a 7 year old son.
