It really struck me yesterday how Chloe does not look the part of a mother with a newborn. Now I get that they don’t have to show her without makeup and dressed in sweats and jeans all the time but a little realism would be nice. Her hair is too perfect and she seems to me to be wearing more makeup than usual, not toning it down a little to look the least bit tired at all . And it’s not even just the makeup and dress, she just doesn’t seem to be playing the part of a new mother in her mannerisms, actions. It’s as if the character is just parading around in dress clothes pretending to be a mother (it’s the best way I can exlain it!). One day she was overwhelmed and crying to Daniel, but that lasted for about 2 seconds. Can’t she ever be in relaxed jeans and blouse even, or have her hair in a ponytail? It just doesn’t seem believable at all to me.
December 14, 2010 at 5:34 pm #19000ChelluvParticipantExactly! Wheres the baby puke on her? I have been annoyed by this also..she looks like shes going to a fashion show or something lol. I have had 2 babies and its not uncommon to have baby throw up or snot on your shirt lol
December 14, 2010 at 6:13 pm #19003zsuzsaParticipantEven burning the lasagna was silly. Who makes a big dinner a couple of days after coming home with their first child? Why aren’t Caroline and others showing up with food? Come on!
December 14, 2010 at 6:47 pm #19004bluebonnetParticipantgrabbing handsful of her hair. I bet she starts wearing a ponytail really quickly! It drives me crazy when an actress with long hair holds a baby and her long hair falls in the baby’s face.

December 14, 2010 at 8:49 pm #1901453tdogsParticipantBarbie doll and unreal as a real woman. I can understand keeping yourself up but with a newborn in the house, perfect makeup, nails and dress??? Give me a friggin’ break! Get into some reality writers! I see Daniel mothering the baby a lot more than Chloe. Parker will be "parked" in boarding school very soon.
December 14, 2010 at 8:51 pm #19015majencoParticipantI have been complaining about Chloe’s "perfect" apprearance forever. There’s no way she would look like that with a newborn! Maybe we are supposed to believe Daniel does all the work and she just primps in front of the mirror like a selfish B&^%ch all day? That’s the way it looks with her appearance now.
December 14, 2010 at 10:08 pm #19022annieoParticipantBut did I almost see her drop the baby as she was picking him up? I was not paying close attention but she had a rather sheepish look on her face – don’t think that was part of the script.
December 14, 2010 at 11:22 pm #19026caseyParticipantit’s hard to believe Chloe has a child at home. She does not appear or act like a mother in the least!
December 15, 2010 at 3:18 am #19034daysbrokenwingsParticipantperfect little world with her perfect looks and clothes, to come crashing down around her! I do like Chloe, but as a mother…I agree, who looks like this all day EVERY day?
December 15, 2010 at 3:49 am #19035mommytutuParticipantThis is their fault. I thought, the least they could do would be to put her in loose fitting clothes. NO, they had to put her in tight clothers and show off her perfect body–thanks gang, you made every mom out there feel like crap. Then the crying one minute because she’s overwhelmed and the next she’s living in a perfect world and wants Parker awake all the time because he sleeps a lot. If only I could have been so lucky. Please writers, costume and hair and make-up depts. try to make things a tad more realistic. Most of the viewers are females who have probably had kids. Don’t insult our intelligence.
December 15, 2010 at 12:52 pm #19039BonbonParticipantwe really want to see when we tune in to a soap? I thought people watched these for escape and to see the beautiful people. (None of them are ugly either!) If we want to see them dressed realistic, we should probably watch Roseanne or Married With Children.
December 15, 2010 at 2:37 pm #19046MKParticipantAbsolutely we tune in to soaps for an escape. I personally don’t care if people are beautiful or not as I like the storyline and acting more than anything. And yes it’s nice to see people dressed up a little but I don’t need to see people dressed to the nines all the time (but you would expect that more from Victor, Kate, Stefano, etc). Of course I don’t want to see everybody walking around in sweats and tee shirts either but a little realism would be appreciated. Hope is in jail and they definitely toned down her makeup. Yesterday Chloe was wearing some kind of super-tight top with her boobs sticking out the top of it. And as I said before, it’s more than just her make-up and clothes, it’s the way she’s acting; it’s as if she’s playing the part of mommy, not actually being one.

December 16, 2010 at 2:01 pm #19069PattiParticipantthey can’t be somewhat real in the hair, make-up, wardrobe departments. Yes, Nadia is gorgeous; yes, Nadia has a body that most women would pay to have; and yes, Nadia is probably one of the lucky ones when it comes to being well endowed in more than one area on her body. That doesn’t mean these truly blessed qualities should be exploited by those behind the scenes. I don’t watch a show to see who’s wearing what, where, when and/or why. I watch it for the fantasy, but with a realm of believability. Soaps tend to go overboard with the exploitation of the "beautiful" people, and DOOL is famous for it. I don’t know how many of the actors have a say about their wardrobe, hair and make-up, but some do. Whether Nadia is one of them can only say one of two things about her. Either her appearance is completely controlled by her employer; or this is the way she dresses IRL. I have seen many off-the-set photos of Nadia, and from what I can surmise, Chloe’s look is not too far off her individual style. Still, I’d rather see them at least attempt to make it ‘look’ real for the part being played.
