Remember how Chloe and Nicole hated each other and now they’re BFF. Same with Hope and Lexie when it came out that Lexie stole Hope’s child. I suppose if the writers decide to do it, they could do the same with Sami and Nicole. It would be an interesting way to go.
What I don’t understand is why the sisters are so hell-bent on finding out why Faye fell down the steps. Wouldn’t normal people just figure it was an accident. Heck, I can’t tell you how many times I almost tripped on the carpeted stairs in my slippers and I wasn’t under the influence of drugs or dizzy from an enlarged heart.
BTW, in my limited medical knowledge, I don’t believe you can ever heal an enlarged heart. You can treat the symptoms but you can never "fix" the heart. The only "cure" is a transplant. So why they think Faye will ever get better from this affliction is beyond me.
April 6, 2011 at 12:57 pm #22453caseyParticipantso did the docs say Faye wouldn’t make it?
April 6, 2011 at 1:37 pm #22454PattiParticipantor going into a coma. She is far from out of the woods, and her scenes closed with R-2 entering her room with an empty hypodermic needle intending to inject an air bubble into her IV, but we didn’t see that happen yet ….. cliffhanger…schmiffhanger …. we all know what will happen if this louse doesn’t get caught by somebody in that hospital. It never ceases to amaze me how anyone can just walk into anyone’s room at any time without being seen, especially when the patient is critical and the door to their room is closed. Is anyone ever at that nurses’ station when they are supposed to be? Carly already told Nicole and Taylor that she needs surgery, but personally I don’t think she’s going to make it that far. Right now Faye has been stabilized, but for how long is a horse of a different color. She already opened her eyes when E.J. was in the room with her, alone, and went into cardiac arrest.
April 6, 2011 at 1:55 pm #22455DeeLanParticipantThe tube goes down past the vocal chords and there’s a balloon on the end that gets inflated to keep the air from going past the vocal chords so if everything is done correctly there’s no way for air to go past the chords to make any type of sound.
I still remember a patient we had that had severe COPD. She’d come in every few months in respiratory and cardiac arrest but as soon as we’d get that tube down her throat and on a ventilator she’d wake up and smile at us. We eventually learned if it was baseball season and her favorite team was playing we had to take her off the ventilator during the games. If we didn’t she’d try to scream and the pressure of that air against the machine caused the alarms to go off constantly When off the ventilator she still had the tube and we’d see her mouth open and the look on her face as she was yelling and cheering but NO sound whatsoever would be coming out and this was a woman giving it her all to yell.
April 6, 2011 at 2:05 pm #22457DeeLanParticipantIt actually depends on what caused the enlarged heart. An enlarged heart is a symptom of something else not a disease in itself. If the heart is overworked from something like pregnancy then it can go away or back to normal but if it’s been going on for a while in high blood pressure then it might not. Also if it’s another medical condition that caused the enlargement that would be more of a problem than the enlarged heart.
April 6, 2011 at 3:47 pm #22459caseyParticipantfor that synopsis.
April 9, 2011 at 11:26 pm #22626JennyK35ParticipantI can totally see them killing R2, as he’s been saying to Stefano and EJ that he’s gonna run off with all that money and that awesome face and live out his dreams. Meanwhile, Stefano and EJ glance at each other like, yeah right, you got no idea what’s coming for you! They *could* just hide him away, but it would be way better to just kill him and cremate him so no one is the wiser. I mean seriously, what did he expect when he took this job? That he would just move on looking like Rafe and the DiMeras would just let him rome free? Nah ah! I’m sure he’ll be killed.
And I have a feeling that the real Rafe will eventually remember things, but maybe not everything, and come back to Salem to live his life out with Sami…but it will take awhile for them to get back together because they will probably divorce because of how R2 is acting, then she learns the truth and worries her little head off. Then he’ll come back to her but probably not remember everything and then she’ll have problems with that.
April 10, 2011 at 12:20 am #2262853tdogsParticipantthis character well. I liked the last part of your senerio JennyK35, Sami default divorces Rafe, Rafe returns to Salem, and they run into each other on the pier… (sort of like John and Marlena, or EJ and Taylor – (yuck),) and she tells him "I love you still, but I can’t ever be with you again", cries, turns and runs away. He has no idea who she is……but is intrigued by her and what she says and pursuses her by searching endlessly for Sami until once again after much pain and suffering, and will they, won’t they, they are a couple reunited – ahhhhhhhhhh true love in day-time romance.
April 10, 2011 at 2:41 am #22635DeeLanParticipantI just have one question. If Sami and R2 get divorced is it a legal divorce with Rafe since he really didn’t agree to it or sign the divorce papers?
April 10, 2011 at 3:55 am #2263653tdogsParticipantdivorce him (even though him – isn’t him), she can by all rights divorce him. No one can legally protest a divorce – most states are no fault these days any way – it would put the woman’s movement up in arms to make a woman stay married to someone she says she didn’t want to be married to – and I’m sure guys would react the same way (sad to say for all involved). All she has to do is file, put a notice in the paper for notification, and six months later (depending on the state), she’s a free woman. Of course, in Salem – it will be in six minutes with a "great" lawyers like Justin…(he’s getting rich in Salem with divorces these days).
April 10, 2011 at 10:50 am #22642BonbonParticipantThat when RealRafe returns, Sami won’t know it’s him and not Rafe2. And then this storyline drags on and on and on and on and…
April 10, 2011 at 6:32 pm #22659JennyK35ParticipantOh, she can certainly divorce Rafe2, but when it all comes out, and Rafe2 is dead and the real Rafe comes back, they would still be legally married because she thought she was divorcing Rafe, but she really wasn’t…it was the creepy guy (doesn’t his picture look totally ugly and freeky?)
So it would be like Mikey and Maggie with Bonnie. Mickey would think Maggie was legally dead (from the Salem Stalker) and so he marries Bonnie (that was so "out there" btw!). Then Maggie comes back and eventually (after all the hoopla of who he should be with…so stuipd!) he picks Maggie and they are still married from before. So technically Mickey was a bigamist even though he didn’t know it…until Maggie came back, then he knew he was a bigamist!
April 10, 2011 at 6:45 pm #22661JennyK35ParticipantYeah, it looked really fake. The fall was okay until she landed at the bottom of the stairs, then she landed on her front side, kind of doing a push up, then let herself down. First of all, that was bad acting. Second of all, they find her face UP and bleeding from the back of the head. Ok so maybe she hit her head on the way down, but still, they could emphasize that so we know how that happened. But under normal circumstances of someone falling down the stairs, they would not break open their head, just have a concussion.
April 10, 2011 at 6:46 pm #2266053tdogsParticipantdragggggggggggggggggggg out when I said "endlessly looks for her", I was thinking about the romance of him knowing that he’s infatuated by this beautiful woman and has these inklings of a past with flashbacks that he can’t quite place – but you are correct Bonbon, bleah – they (PTB) would run it into the ground and milk that SL forever and a day instead of a good story line!
