My first impressions of the new Hernandez bro is he’s pretty wooden. I hope it’s just a matter of an actor needing time to settle into a new role.
March 18, 2011 at 1:45 am #21826luckeyParticipantmake me happy to see another Hernandez on the scene.
March 18, 2011 at 3:44 am #21837shadowParticipantHe must get his Botox fix at the same place Kate goes to get hers.
March 18, 2011 at 3:51 am #2183953tdogsParticipantmix for this summer…Hohummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ~ snooooooooooooooooze.
March 18, 2011 at 11:14 am #21842BonbonParticipant…at all. And I can’t get passed his crossed eyes. That is very distracting.
I’m thinking though that he and Melanie are going to become an "item." And that’s fine with me, at least he would keep her away from Brady.
March 18, 2011 at 1:04 pm #21846annieoParticipantPlus, he seems to have an accent that none of the other Hernandez siblings had. What’s up with that?
March 18, 2011 at 1:51 pm #21848DeeLanParticipantI haven’t seen him yet so don’t know what type of accent it is.
My godson was half Mexican but raised by his blond haired mother and grandparents who were of Scandanivian and German descent with no accents. He talked like they did until he was a teen and his father took him to Mexico to visit relatives. When he came back he announced he was Mexican and only going to date Mexican girls. After that his friends had to me of Mexican descent and his speach changed to slightly broken English with an accent. When he’d talk to me I’d tell him I couldn’t understand him unless he spoke English and he’d suddenly speak fine with no accent at all.
So, this long story is to say maybe Dario’s accent is from years of hanging out with a certain group of people and trying to fit in. Or it could be like all those westerns with Roddy McDowell. He’d be the only son of a Texas rancher with an English accent while the rest had a southern drawl.
March 18, 2011 at 2:11 pm #21851PattiParticipantbut I did not realize he was the black sheep of the family. Well, that’s what happens when they cast a family with no back-story. I want to see more scenes with him and Rafe (or R-2) as he may start this whole mess to unravel much faster than if he were not here. Seems he and Rafe had a rough relationship, but I think he knows that no matter how hard Rafe has been on him growing up, that his big brother loves him a lot, and this just may open up Pandora’s Box for Stefano and E.J. where Dario might see, more than anyone else, that this is not his brother. I’m hoping for that, anyway.
March 18, 2011 at 5:58 pm #21863BonbonParticipantwho was driving the car that hit Arianna. Do we know? Or was it just a stranger she ran out in front of. (Dang Oldtimer’s!)
March 18, 2011 at 6:19 pm #21868DeeLanParticipantThey never said who it was. Speculation on the boards at the time was it was Sami because she wanted to stop her from going to EJ with that video of her confessing to shooting him but nothing has ever been determined and it seems like the police pushed it aside.
March 20, 2011 at 5:27 pm #21916PattiParticipantI remember for some reason thinking it was Stefano’s good, who was chasing someone at the time, but reported back to Stefano that he "lost" them, and now, for the life of me, I can’t remember who that was. I only know I suspected that he was who hit Ariana. Anybody know what I’m talking about, cause I wouldn’t want to think I’m losing it, for real.
March 20, 2011 at 5:36 pm #21917PattiParticipantbesides most of the men in Salem? Just once I want to see one of these guys opening the door in a towel and standing there would be his mother, or his family priest/minister, or a sister who’s also a nun. Ridiculous a-holes! I am glad of the fact that he’s finally divulged that he’s investigating Ariana’s death, cause Rafe, even when he was there, was too busy trying to protect Sami from that stupid taped confession, while Ariana was trying to reveal the truth about her confessing to shooting E.J. I am so sick and tired of everyone getting away with crime on this show. I don’t care how much I like the character (and I do like Sami), I’m just sick to death of no one getting their just desserts. In this case, not only Rafe covered for Sami, but so did Will. They all covered up the truth, so, if that’s the case, they should all pay …. but will that happen …… of course not, no matter how much I truly believe E.J. deserved it. Guess my point is, Rafe is not living in the garden of good and evil; he is guilty of covering up a crime, and so is Sami, and so is Will. So, what happens when Dario uncovers this information, if he ever does? Of course, by then, the real Rafe won’t remember a thing about it anyway. LOL.
March 20, 2011 at 6:39 pm #21919DeeLanParticipantDidn’t Stefano have someone following Arianna?
March 20, 2011 at 6:53 pm #21922justwonderingParticipantWell, if we are talking about paying for your sins. What about EJ? He kidnapped Sydney and made it appear that she was dead. Not to mention trying to kill Lucas (the freezer), shot John, switched the baby dishes, along with so many other deeds. Ithink he takes the cake of people committing wrong deeds.
March 22, 2011 at 2:05 pm #21954PattiParticipant‘cooling off’ he gave Melanie yesterday? Too bad it wasn’t a whole bucket. Like she never stole anything. She made a living at it when she was in Paris, so her lecturing Dario on his wicked, wicked ways was more than being hypocritical. What I really wanted to see him do after dumping the water on her head was slam the door in her face. Talk about ‘open mouth—insert foot’ — uggghhhh, I simply cannot stand her.
