Part snoozefest, part dumbfest. How stupid was that Jen/Abby go-round – why would Jenn be freaking out about her kid’s modeling interest to the point of threatening to kick her outta the house?
And what was that Rafe/Carrie nonsense, dragged out discussion about folding up their tent, only to decide to forge ahead?
A real waste of airtime.
How much are writers getting to pen this limp stuff – too much! Will sweeps month be worth the agonizing wait for some real drama?February 1, 2012 at 11:12 pm #30716SWParticipantsomewhat with Abby and Jack finally connecting again.
February 2, 2012 at 3:46 am #30718justwonderingParticipantI thought that the scenes between Sonny and will were well done and informative. Sonny is supportive, but he is willing to let Will come out in his own time.
I kind of got Jennifer’s reaction, in that she is afraid of losing one more thing. I actually thought it was believable.
As for Rafe and Carrie, not a fan of this SL.Why can’t Carrie get a job in the public defenders office, they always need lawyers.
February 2, 2012 at 4:16 am #30719caseyParticipanthis scenes never disappoint. If Jenn is so afraid of losing everyone why is Jack Jr off in boarding school? I just found her reaction to Abby over the top considering Ab’s already been pretty independent. But I guess in the moment I can see a kind of breaking point.
February 2, 2012 at 10:22 am #30725BonbonParticipantthe only good thing in that episode was the maturity and wisdom Jack showed in talking with Abbey. Something we don’t particularily expect to come out of Jack.
But this Rafe and Carrie thing is going to drive me to drink, I swear it will!
February 2, 2012 at 1:23 pm #30734DeeLanParticipantAgree about Carrie. When they came back to Salem Abe offered her a job in the public defenders office.
February 2, 2012 at 3:36 pm #30739PattiParticipantor make-out in public places. Three days in a row now; enough already. What is happening to this show? Are they trying to convince me that they really DON’T give a damn, because I’m very close to believing it. These are the worst writers EVER. No imagination, continuity, believability. For example, Jennifer would never have stooped to E.J.’s level in this campaign fugly storyline; Stefano’s back and forth reminders to Bo and Hope about that damn secret …. oh, no, not in DAYS of old; and where in the hell is Lucas — why is it taking him so long to get here? Will will be a basket case by that time and possibly commit matricide in the meantime. Just very unhappy now and we are nearly at the end of the first week of a critical sweeps month. If I have to watch Carrie and Rafe, the princess and prince of Salem, screw each other with their eyes one more freakin’ time, well, let’s just say I never thought I would fast-forward Rafe, but I am these days. I’d much rather watch Sami than Rafe, where I know I’m in the minority, but that’s the way I feel. Rafe and Carrie literally make my skin crawl with disgust. Rafe is supposed to be the smart one, able to detect things about people not normally seen by others. Well, take a good look at what you’re panting for, Prince Sh*t For Brains …. a serial cheater, because that’s exactly what Carrie is. Don’t believe me? Just ask Austin, Lucas, Austin again, and probably Mike as well. Oh well, one bad week almost gone … 3 more to go … but I’m not holding out any high hopes. The material these writers are producing is just not worth my time or investment. So, I’ll just watch until I feel like Popeye when he says "That’s all I can stands…..I can’t stands no more."
February 2, 2012 at 3:37 pm #30740dvalParticipantI thought we had another "hero" in Salem but he’s turning out to be just another rutting pig who can’t stay faithful if he is in a room with another woman for 15 minutes without his wife. Sick of these storylines, sick of the sex scenes. I only watch for Will because Chandler is such a wonderful actor. Other than that…who cares?
February 2, 2012 at 5:01 pm #30744daysfanParticipantWhat happened to the excitement of the ‘reset’ back in September; the promise of the return to family values and romance? If they call those sex scenes with Madison and Brady romance, those writers have no idea of romance! And this Carrie and Rafe thing is so disgusting and contrived–the Rafe I know would never act like this. Austin and Abby make me ill. And if I have to watch Hope with that agonized look on her face again about whether or not to open that stupid box. . . . how many episodes are going to be wasted with that back and forth garbage? Just goes to show; everytime we complain about the writers and get excited for new ones, reality comes crashing down on us and each set of writers seems worse than the last. Even when you don’t think it is possible. About the only reason I am hanging on is to see Lucas but if they handle that like the rest of the stories, it probably won’t be worth my time.
February 2, 2012 at 5:05 pm #30745KseeParticipantnot only that I don’t think that Carrie has ever been faithfull to a man!
February 2, 2012 at 5:27 pm #30746MKParticipantI have to fast-forwarded every disgusting sex scene with Brady and Madison. Is it supposed to turn us on? We get it already… they’re in love, lust, whatever it is. And what was Madison wearing yesterday, a big diaper? When she was facing sideways, that’s exactly what it looked like. It was all crinkled up and was shaped like a diaper. Kind of funny.
And agree about Carrie and Rafe. So incredibly unbelievable. Rafe is hard to watch now with all of his faux-Rafe looks as someone mentioned before. His weird smirks, the way he talks and then snorts afterwards, all so completely ridiculous!!!
February 2, 2012 at 8:54 pm #30748BonbonParticipantWhen Madison got in bed with Brady when he was still sleeping, was she sucking on his nipple? It sure looked like it.
February 2, 2012 at 10:58 pm #30752caseyParticipantWho on earth could think that’s attractive? Very very unflattering and I wouldn’t be caught dead in it!
February 2, 2012 at 11:55 pm #30754BonbonParticipantI didn’t think the see-through blouse was very fitting of a woman in her position. And she needs to get her bra fitted, the back of it is way to high. She needs to loosen the straps a little. If you’re going to show it, at least make it look decent.
February 3, 2012 at 12:56 am #30755bluebonnetParticipantI was thinking the same thing when I saw those skimpy bra straps in the back. I haven’t worn a bra with tiny hiked-up straps like that since I was about 13! It really looked odd from the back.
