take a look and see if I liked it. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a lot more fun to watch than either "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette". Those two shows get old real quick with just a one-way direction of constant sexual encounters. If last night’s show was any indication, I like all of the strategy that’s going to be needed for getting to the end and winning the $250,000. It was also interesting to see the players getting reacquainted with some of their fellow contestants from seasons past. Most of the players are from more recent seasons, but Gwen from Season Two was there and didn’t have any friendship with any of the others. If you watched, what was your impression?

So whenever I log out I see "new" and go "Oh Boy, something new to read!" only to find out it’s been there several days and I’ve already read it. Sigh. How do you make "new" go away?
August 15, 2010 at 6:05 pm #15437BonbonParticipantjust now (Sunday, 2:00) is the first time I’ve seen it.
August 15, 2010 at 6:23 pm #1543853tdogsParticipantyou open the subject up? I don’t log out, I just switch back and forth between web sites that I happen to be surfin’ at the time.
Me too! I always say the same thing "Oh boy! – Something new to read" I wonder if the new folks go all the way back to the begining of the posts to read them?
Sometimes I even go back on certain subjects (like EJ and Sami) to remind myself of what we’ve commented on throughout the story lines – the most often used comment from all of us I think is "OH NO – not again!".
August 15, 2010 at 11:40 pm #15443SWParticipantreading a ‘new’ post, it still thinks it is a new post. If you go to the top and click back on the heading say, "The Brady Pub" then it knows you have read the posts that were new.
August 16, 2010 at 1:10 am #15449luckeyParticipantIt was weird to have a post out there and no one responded at all. So, I’ll ask again if anyone watche "The Batchelor Pad" last week?
August 16, 2010 at 1:48 am #1545053tdogsParticipantEOM sorry
August 16, 2010 at 11:35 am #15453BonbonParticipantNow go sit in the corner!
I just figured no one had watched it. Honestly, we still love you.
August 16, 2010 at 2:59 pm #15458Ms. JakeParticipantI don’t always have the time to check this thread…but yeah, it’s pretty cool (the bachelor pad) I thinks it’s a good twist for "in between" the shows.
August 17, 2010 at 12:23 pm #15478caseyParticipantbut I found it didn’t hold my interest. It actually seems more like a “Survivor” format.
August 17, 2010 at 12:50 pm #15480PattiParticipantlike most reality shows. Back-biting, stabbing one another in the back, sex, lies and cat-fights. Been there, done that, too many times now. Too much like Big Brother reality house for me.
August 18, 2010 at 12:19 am #15501luckeyParticipantsitting in a corner can be time well spent.
August 18, 2010 at 11:50 am #15510SWParticipant"romance/finding true love" never really worked out on the Bachelor series. Other than you want to be a "star/promote yourself" why would you want to put yourself in that type of ‘dating’ pool? You have to live with a bunch of same sex people, give up your job (assuming you have one), have your entire past/future open to the public, be totally controlled by the production crew, spend your days/nights drinking (and all that entails) while you’re all trying to date (and have sex) with the same guy/girl!
The group in the Bachelor Pad all seem to be there to promote themselves or get the money. That to me makes more sense. They are out for number 1 and everyone there has to know it. They will lie, cheat, or manipulate to be the final winner. The love factor isn’t there but the sex is as that is how they get what they want.
Okay, that’s how I see it.
August 25, 2010 at 4:18 pm #15745caseyParticipantI can’t get over how dramatic these women are. What da heck is Gia’s problem? Withdrawing from a stupid kissing contest and bawling her eyes out in her room? Supposedly she has a boyfriend? Why is she even on this show? I can only think because of the moola which makes her look even more pathetic.
And she’s attracted to that creep Wes who was just using the Bachlorette to get publicity?August 25, 2010 at 4:34 pm #15748SWParticipantthe publicity just like Wes. I watched Wes during the Bachelorette and couldn’t stand him but he seems to have either smartened up or he wasn’t really as disgusting as he was originally presented. I suspect they are all publicity hounds! If you notice how most of the previous bachelors and bachelorettes have made a TV name for themselves, I’m just guessing that is why they all are there. I lol at the women’s reaction to having to kiss the "Weatherman!" He creeps me out more than Wes now!
