was pretty gut wrenching? My first reaction was how physical the pain would be for a Mom to have to hand over a child to someone who had been the child’s kidnapper at one time. Then when I actually looked at the fact that it was Sami, I felt that she was getting some payback that was so long overdue for what she’s done to others. So it was interesting for me having it go back and forth on the emotion scale. I liked the fact that Ari did such a good job with the emotions that she had on her face when it was happening…that she felt Sami’s pain of having to give up her child; but, then, the realization that Sami’s actions had done this to herself and she didn’t deserve to be Sydney’s Mom. It was quite a pivotal moment in the show for me.

Have seen the Stooges shorts so many times I started watching the third Stooge while the other two were interacting. That’s what really got me interested in studying non-speaking actors. Ari did an amazing job of reacting and giving off emotioin without saying a word.

I really liked the interplay between the two before the truth came out and they were almost starting to be friends. The emotions that both of them showed during those scenes was tear-jerking for me. Nicole’s face showed her conflict about what she was doing. Like she didn’t want to take Sydney away from Sami, but that was the only way she could be a part of Sydney’s life!
What I would love to see now would be for Nicole to figure out a way somehow for Sami to still be a part of Johnny and Syndey’s life without EJ’s knowledge.
November 27, 2010 at 8:51 pm #18524BonbonParticipantIf I were Sami, there would be no way in hell I’d hand over that girl to anybody, let alone EJ. I think I would rather face the consequences. She should look at it this way. Even if she goes to jail, she can keep EJ from getting custody with the tape she has of his confession of the Sydnapping. What judge is going to give custody, let alone even unsupervised visitation to someone guilty of what he was doing. And now that she is married to Rafe, he would be there for the kids. Remember, it was just attempted murder. She wouldn’t be doing a whole lot of time.
No, I just can’t see me handing over my child. I’d probably have run for it and hope Rafe might have afforded some protection to give me time to get away. But, that wouldn’t allow for the storyline we’re going to be subjected to, would it?
November 27, 2010 at 10:43 pm #1853153tdogsParticipantlogical conclusion, she acts on impulse of flight or fight instead of being an adult in adult situations. This character has got to grow up! (Alison did a terrific job convey the emotions of the moment – but the writers have been writing and re-writing the same scenes for her for years so Alison has had a lot of practice getting it down pat).
November 29, 2010 at 2:33 pm #18552justwonderingParticipantI agree BonBon, I would take my chances with the judge. First there is a restraining order on EJ. Second, he said that the tape of him admitting he took Sydney is inadmissible since it was recordered without his knowledge. Well, Sami did not grant permission to Ari either, so it is imadmissible. So that is a wash, however, there are plently of people who could testify that Sami was in a state of shock and confusion to justify shooting EJ. I still hold out that she sis not really do it.
I would make EJ go to court and take my chances with a jury.
November 29, 2010 at 7:30 pm #18554DeeLanParticipantIf I were Sami though I wouldn’t trust a judge or jury. I mean she’s got to have the fact that she was convicted, on death row and injected with the lethal drugs for a crime she didn’t commit, how could she expect to get off for a crime she knows she did commit. Or a crime she "thinks" she committed. I’m with you though, I don’t think she is the one who pulled the trigger on the gun that fired the bullet into EJ.
December 1, 2010 at 5:29 am #18607IwovemyboysParticipanther children because of things she’s done in the past??? Let me tell you something, there is no person in the world like your mother. Especially as children. I don’t care what kind of person that mother is, there is no replacing her. And no matter how much she wants to pretend Nicole is NOT and Will NEVER be the mother to Sydney that she would like to think she is. A child bonds with their mother when they are in the womb. A child knows their mother’s voice and scent right at birth. Otherwise any woman could breastfeed that child. It is Nature. And this whole story is absolutely ridiculous and sickens me to my core. Which is why I fast foward anything with EJ or Nicole in it.
December 1, 2010 at 2:35 pm #18630MKParticipantSorry, I respectfully disagree. You say "I don’t care what kind of person that mother is, there is no replacing her." Just because somebody give’s birth, doesn’t make them a good mother. Practically any woman can give birth, even bad ones. There are a lot of truly despicable mothers out there so it does matter what kind of person that mother is. I have seen bad mothers for myself and kids raised in a terrible household. NOT fair to the kids!
December 1, 2010 at 3:53 pm #18635macrrParticipantI was going to say the same thing. In addition, just because one is the bio-mom to a child does not mean its in the child’s best interest to remain in mother’s custody. Many times, the best thing one can do for a child is to remove him/her from the bio-mom. Sami is a sh***y parent. No child deserves her as a mom (or EJ and Nicole for that matter).
December 1, 2010 at 4:22 pm #1863953tdogsParticipantShould Sami ever win Mother of the Year Award, I’m going to yell "fixed"! She is just about the worst excuse for a Mom I’ve ever scene. Yes, the scene was touching when she gave Sydney to Nicole, but she wouldn’t have had to do that in the first place if Sami would just not repeat all the dumb, stupid things she does. And even Sami said that when she was speaking to Rafe on the couch of their little love nest.
December 1, 2010 at 6:03 pm #18645GoodyParticipantJust giving birth does NOT make a mother. The love, care and devotion after the birth is what makes a mother.
Sami seems to be fertile as a turtle, and she has about the same mothering instincts — next to none!
Goody

That was funny!
December 1, 2010 at 10:24 pm #18656BonbonParticipantHow many kids can have a rotten no-good mother but they still love them. It’s much like the dog who’s owner kicks him yet he still comes back to lick his hand. The kid often looks at them as the only mother they know and love them regardless of what they do. Just saying…
December 1, 2010 at 10:39 pm #1866153tdogsParticipantdifferent degree) but yes, I still love her because she was my Mother but I didn’t respect her as a person. And her sister and the rest of the family says the same thing. Love the sinner, hate the sin. I guess.
