So Laura is in on the Abby kidnapping? I know Laura hates Chad but would she do this to her daughter? Or did Andre blackmail her into it?
What’s ridic about that – is that WE the viewers saw a woman lying in bed – but nothing more (a few weeks back remember.)
And the big reveal was him talking to Laura (who we don’t see) over the phone? LAME
1990’s JER DOOL would’ve made that reveal MUST SEE TV. Yes it would have dragged on a month – YES we would have seen her hair…. her hand…. her toe…. all before we see her. And yes – we would see her MONTHS before Salem saw her but still. What a payoff he used to deliver. Remember… Miss a day – miss a lot.
I remember that scene and thinking to myself, "is that Abigail in that bed" and then thinking, okay, something will surface soon, but then nothing did, up until Laura came to Salem, which was vague and boring to say the least. Was I supposed to be excited about Jen’s mentally challanged mother coming back for a day or two, and then poof…she was gone again? So I guess what I’m saying is it did not have that affect on me to associate that return with Abigail’s kidnapping, and certainly not that she would be in cahoots with Andre. I guess because I have never been a huge Abigail Devereaux fan, so I just didn’t care where she was until now (LOL), especially after I saw on spoilers that she would show up in November. So now the call from Laura to Andre became crystal clear. THEY HAD ABIGAIL ALL ALONG! And here’s where I agree that this would have been handled much better in "Days" of old! The slow build before the big bang….But it’s Dena Higley, so I guess that explains it for now, for me anyway!
PLUS the return of a character people have mixed views about with a different actress playing her is even more boring LOL
Remember when KA came back in like 93/94? At Maison Blanche? We saw Celeste brushing her hair… her from behind etc… WE saw her as the viewer and then when John rescued her from the ocean and she rolled over on the bed and Bo (RKK) saw her for the first time. Him and Billie’s reaction? PRICELESS. THAT is how you deliver on a return from the dead LOL
These little snipets of Abigail’s hair, picking up Thomas’s roy, watching Chad with Gabb reminds me of when Matt returned as Jack and he kept sneaking around the house peering in the window.
that’s what this Abigail sneaking around reminds me of so far. Natasha always had on the black trenchcoat and the black hat just like new Abigail has on. Kind of ridiculous that no one would notice a woman in a black trench coat and black hat wandering around Horton Square or hanging outside Jennifer’s window.
what the state of Abby’s mind is. Is she still in paranoia over Ben? Has Andre interfered at all? Apparently from what he said Abby has “escaped” before.
