Beginning Monday, August 24th, Days of Our Lives will begin airing same-day shows on POP-TV (Channel 100 on Comcast in Baltimore), and will be the third soap to be included in the station’s line-up. This means no more local interruptions, only National preemptions where the prior day’s show will be repeated. This is great for those who, first, have the channel on their cable provider, and have to miss the show due to their work schedule or not having DVR, etc. DOOL will air at 8:00 p.m. (EST), which means POP will be showing 3 of the 4 soaps all in a row Mon-Fri, betinning with B&B at 6:30 p.m., followed by Y&R at 7:00 p.m., followed by DOOL at 8:00 p.m. Sounds promising for our show to have been picked up on POP (this was formerly the TV Guide channel).
I’m hoping this will be true for this station all over the whole country. I’m going to check my cable schedule. I watched Schitt’s Creek on Pop TV this spring. Very funny show if any of you haven’t seen it. The second season will come on next year some time I think.
Comcast has POP and DOOL is on the schedule. Great to know there’s another place in case of those pesky "breaking news" interruptions!!
Thank goodness for POP, although it isn’t in HD. Our local channel in Salt Lake City is in a dispute with DirecTV, so we don’t have an NBC station. When do they at the Friday show? It’s not on the schedule. I only see M-Th.
