Gives new meaning to the term "GENERAL" surgeon now doesn’t he? More like jack of all trades surgeon< LOL
February 1, 2011 at 11:58 pm #2054953tdogsParticipantget off my lazy keister and go watch the show for myself…but I’m afraid it would be couch throwing pillow time if I watch…besides I’d much rather talk and discuss with you gusyies.
February 2, 2011 at 12:07 am #20551PattiParticipantthey haven’t even found Jen yet. What struck me so funny was that yesterday, when Dan met Ben on the pier, he congratulated him on getting a heart (not knowing then where it was coming from), and asked if Ben would mind if he (Dan) "observed" the transplant. Today, however, after Ben got Jen’s heart, Ben asked Dan if he was ready to "assist." Lots of silly mistakes like that went on yesterday and today.
February 2, 2011 at 1:34 am #20561dvalParticipantHe didn’t do the surgery yet. I am just assuming the wonder surgeon will be the one to save Jennifer since Mel called him at the end of today’s show. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Carly will do it. They are the only two surgeons in Salem aren’t they? LOL.
February 2, 2011 at 1:35 am #20562dvalParticipantMel found Jen and called Dan about it at the end of the show today.
February 2, 2011 at 2:33 am #20563PattiParticipantof the show today; guess what I meant to say was that they didn’t put Jen’s heart back yet, because Dan and Carly had not known until Mel called that the heart Lee took belonged to Jen, so he would not have done the surgery yet. But, you’re right about Dan’s extremely wide knowledge of "general" surgery, but I guess we’re supposed to consider that he did come to Salem being that renowned surgeon who did the pancreas transplant on Bo, first removing part of Chelsea’s. Even so, a heart transplant now can be added to his resume…..really? Why isn’t he the one going to Johns Hopkins? LOL!
February 2, 2011 at 5:01 am #20564justwonderingParticipantDo you remember when Dr. Dan first came to the show? It was to save Bo from whatever was wrong with him. Then he helped Kate with her lung cancer. Next it was Chloe’s cancer. From there it seemed that he became a general doctor. Then he was an eye surgeon for Johnny and took care of Caroline after her stroke. Wow he certainly has a lot of specialties.
February 2, 2011 at 12:21 pm #20568SWParticipantDr. Ben but he’s been arrested so I’m guessing that there goes the heart surgeon! I sure hope the warden doesn’t get off though as she didn’t really give up the guy behind the scenes. And what did they do with the heart? The cop took it with Dr. Ben and wasn’t he the crooked one that told the warden to keep her mouth shut or she was dead??
February 2, 2011 at 2:28 pm #20571luckeyParticipanttalk. I thought it was at first, but I rewound the recording and looked a couple of times to confirm that it was not the same person.
February 2, 2011 at 3:53 pm #20575DeeLanParticipantThere’s also that guy who operated on Johnny but who knows if he’s more of a pediatric or opthamology specialist or not. And we all know we’ll never see him again unless there’s a need. Much like that obstetricion/gynecologist that use to be on once in a while.
February 2, 2011 at 5:36 pm #2058253tdogsParticipantfew years, but didn’t I see on Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Mercy, ER, etc., that when there is a transplant that needs to be done, they are airlifting the body part in a cooler for transplant, and then rushing it into surgery as fast as they can?
Yet, they were treating Jennifer’s heart, like it was yesterday’s lunch at the hospital, and with that idiot on the SPD, I suppose that he will take it along with Dr. Ben to the pokey and put it in the evidence room. This has got to be one of the biggest snafus (and you all know what that acronym stands for), in the history of Days, and I thought I’d seen it all…
February 2, 2011 at 6:53 pm #20586dvalParticipantand not know this was a board about a soap opera what do you think would go through their minds? Sounds like a horror story…hearts, pancreas, eyes, strokes, doppelgangers!
February 2, 2011 at 8:09 pm #2058753tdogsParticipantgot Days! Good one!
February 2, 2011 at 11:24 pm #20593caseyParticipantthat a heart is being put back in a prison infirmary by a two person team – one a novice nurse!
