October 25, 2011 at 9:02 pm #27963SWParticipantAll My Children. He wasn’t an actor either. Someone heard that AMC was looking to cast a returning soldier (maybe thought dead but one who had severe injuries) and this person had run into JR and mentioned him to casting for the one or 2 day appearance. He got the job and they kept him since he was so real etc. I remember seeing him on a while later and thought, "wow that’s a lot of acting make-up etc." I was surprised to learn about all that had happened to him and how he has so much confidence (I guess that’s what I’d call it) in himself. He just seems to love life and shows that so clearly that you don’t think about his looks but the person inside.

October 25, 2011 at 11:16 pm #27969BonoSugaRayParticipantWhen Max said he was the show, I believe he meant he and the pro dancers. And I am in full agreement w/ him, with all he said to the the "middle" judge (I don’t even remember his name)! I’ve been practically exclaiming it all along: the judges judge different stars far less critical than others. For example: if Chaz – who is clearly THEE WORSE of the bunch (and should have been eliminated in week two, after NBA player Ron Artest) – performed sloppy (which is generally what Chaz does), the judges, for the most part, would just brag (and even shed tears) about how Chaz gave it all had, and how that’s worth a lot. They’d end up giving Chaz scores of seven and higher, when, in TECHNICAL reality, she should be getting scores of four and below! (I’m just stating the facts, ppl!) And then, let’s just say – Ricki Lake, or JR (who are, without argument really good dancers, and the CREAM OF THE CROP amongst the remaining) – have a stellar performance: the judges tend to be more TECHNICALLY CRITICAL of ’em, and instead of judging ’em like they tend to do Chaz (i.e., "great effort," ‘you’re trying your best, and that’s awesome…good enough for me"), they get all critical in-depth on ’em, focusing on specific footwork, air lifts, etc, etc, smh #PATHETIC! If you’re gonna judge the Ricki’s, JRs, and Hopes strictly on technique, then I say JUDGE ‘EM ALL!
If the judges aren’t gonna be JUDGES and judge correctly, then I say BRING CARSON BACK! At least he was awesomely ENTERTAINING to watch! (Was I the only one excited to see Carson when he surprised the remaining dancers, during their rehearsal?!)

October 26, 2011 at 2:51 am #27975shadowParticipantChaz(she/it) should have been eliminated the 2nd week. It’s comments were really tacky and I didn’t like the remarks at the end of the show.
I feel so much better now, that she/it was sent home. Hoorah!!!!
