Kelly Pickler amazed me last night with some of the moves she made her body do! Zendaya was outstanding too. I think she and Kelly are the ones to beat…as far as ability is concerned. The popularity vote is what will make the difference.
The football player needs to check his attitude at the door. I don’t know if he thinks he’s being funny (he’s not) or if he’s naturally got an arrogant-type attitude. A little humility would go a long way for him.
I think the worst of the night were Lisa and D.L. Dorothy struggled and that surprised me, unless it was the injuries she’s working through. Wynona seems really afraid to let her body move…she’s so stiff and does all of her moves so slowly. The rest all tried very hard, but it’s easy to see that they have no dancing experience. And when you get down to the premise of the show, that’s what we’re supposed to see…amateurs doing something totally foreign to them and learning to dance as best they can.
March 26, 2013 at 2:46 pm #38807PattiParticipantthe best MALE star on the show. I wouldn’t expect anyone NOT from Baltimore to know anything about Jacoby’s true personality, but this is the way he is on and off the football field, and don’t let him fool anyone …. he’s nervous as all hell. Fact is, he’s a clown, a cut-up, a really fun guy. People in Baltimore, of course, know this about him. So to perceive it as an "attitude" if you wish, is just not so. Truth is he has a great personality, so I’m sure it’s just nerves and not attitude.
I think it’s between Kellie and Zendaya for the ladies, and Jacoby Jones, "hands down," for the men. At least with the faster dances. I’ll reserve any further opinion on Jacoby’s skills when I see what he does with a Viennese Waltz or a Contemporary routine. And, contemporary is really what Kellie did last night. She did not do a true "jazz" routine. Some might say it was modern jazz or contemporary jazz, but it was not a true jazz routine. But she’s definitely a winner and has all the right moves, and will definitely be one of the ones to beat. I have to wonder sometime how Derek Hough always, always gets the best partners. I find it hard to swallow that it’s the "luck of the draw."
Too bad Dorothy Hammil suffered an injury. Hope it did not hurt her chances for tonight, but it really should be D.L. Hughley going home. Did anyone see tears in his eyes last night when he was being judged? I felt bad for him. He’s really trying but poor guy has 2 left feet.
March 27, 2013 at 1:02 pm #38819luckeyParticipantregarding Jacoby. I will say that last night on elimination night, he seemed a bit more quiet…less vocal. I found it easier to watch him as well as listen to what he had to say. No doubt he’s the best male dancer on the show, but I hope the others step up to the plate and give him some competition.
March 27, 2013 at 2:59 pm #38824PattiParticipantit’s no feat if you don’t have the competition. I think Jacoby’s best competition in the men is Ingo Rademacher. For a big and tall guy, he’s pretty smooth, plus I just loved him on GH, where he’s soon to return. I’m also glad Victor Ortiz got a reprieve last night, because he certainly didn’t deserve to go home before D.L. Hughley or Andy Dick. Also, for as much as I love to see Jacoby doing well, I do think he needs to show a little more humility when he knows he’s nailing his dances, or he will never gain Len’s respect. Len is just that kind of judge who needs to know these dancers are taking the show seriously. So, a little slice of humble pie could only help Jacoby in the long run, since they already know he’s good. Didn’t like his comment last night …. "Bing, Bang, Boom …. we got this." Dial it back, brotha’.

March 28, 2013 at 10:14 am #38847BonbonParticipanthe certainly comes off as arrogant to me and not at all funny. I don’t care if he’s one of the better male dancers, I don’t like him because of that and hope he gets voted off. But because the other guys are so much worse, he’s probably safe. It’s been well documented in the past that football players have had large fan bases (because of the popularity of the sport) that have kept them alive.

March 28, 2013 at 11:52 pm #38870PattiParticipantand the best male dancer on the show this season, so far anyway. What he doesn’t deserve is people to "hope he gets voted off" because they don’t like his disposition. This IS a dance show, after all. I’m sure he’ll calm down.
