WOW! What a fabulous night of dancing, especially the trio dances!! The only thing about last night that was wrong was Len. He was really out of line, in my opinion, with his rating of Katherine and Mark on their first dance and then Maria and Derek on their trio dance. He might not have liked some of what they did, but his scores were really unfair. I voted my maximum amount allowed on my phone for Katherine and Mark to try to offset Len’s little snit. Not sure it will make any difference, but he really ticked me off. Everyone was at their best last night, I thought. Really enjoyed it!!
May 8, 2012 at 4:23 pm #32864PattiParticipantand refuses to accept when the pros put their own mojo on a dance, which is unfair because dancers like Mark and Katherine (especially Mark) will never escape his criticism when they try to show something new. I think he does the same thing with Derek. He refuses to see the powerful talent behind the work and his comments are at times blinded by what he perceives a dance should look like. I love Tom’s comments when he makes these kind of remarks, even though it doesn’t change Len’s score. If he’s too "old school" to recognize the choreography, maybe he should no longer be judging it. I really liked Rochon and Chelsie last night. Their Fox Trot was really good, and for me they are just too cute for words, even though I don’t think he has a chance of winning it. I don’t know how Melissa keeps escaping elimination, but she’s stiff as a board on most of her dances, and can’t compare to the other dancers, no matter how hard Maks tries to show her what she is doing wrong. He almost had a meltdown with her in last night’s showing of the rehearsal, but she must have a huge fan base, even though IMO she just doesn’t have the talent to keep her in much longer. I did really like her dancing the trio dance with his Maks and his brother. They sure do look a lot alike. And, Len actually praised her last night, while reprimanding Katherine and Mark and Derek and Maria. Go figure!
May 9, 2012 at 9:27 am #32880BonbonParticipanthad a major size bug up his butt. I can understand him being a stickler for the dance’s requirements but shouldn’t deduct points just because there weren’t enough of them suit him (hold position).
I thoroughly enjoyed the trios…every one of them. I probably like Maria’s the best but all were very good. I missed the last one. I got a satallite dish a couple of weeks ago and experienced my first outage because of rain when they danced. DAMN! But my bill is now $50 cheaper than what I was paying for cable so I guess I can put up with that.
I pretty much knew that Rochon and Melissa were going last night. I think Maria will be next although I’d really like to see her win it. IMO, ALL the remaining dancers are very good and all have a good chance at winning. None of them would surprise me one bit if they do but I’m especially rooting for Maria, or Kathrine.
May 9, 2012 at 9:38 am #32882SWParticipantthat commentary by Len (he’s the least offensive), football guy, and Kenny Mane (sp?) an annoying waste of time? Why do they have them on anyway? I don’t find them funny and he was horrible when he was on as a dancer!
May 9, 2012 at 12:12 pm #32884BonbonParticipantI find no humor in that whatsoever. Nor do I understand the make-up they always wear. Just plain stupid IYAM.
I also want to comment on all the lovey-doveyness that goes on there. Yes, I understand the pros and stars get close to each other because they are spending so much time together but I really get tired of all the hugging and kissing they do. I think that is so phoney and put on. And nobody EVER says anything the least bit negative about anybody else. I just don’t think that’s natural or normal. I realize that goes on in all reality shows (well, except for Survivor and Lisa on Celebrity Apprentice) but, to me, that’s FAR from "reality."
