Yay…Max is back!
March 18, 2014 at 2:57 am #43143caseyParticipantwhich is unusual for me, but this held my attention. I think overall a pretty high talent level and some surprises. Billy Dee I admire for getting out there but a 77 yr old body with athritis just can’t cut it.
So far Erin Andrews a definite upgrade from Burke. Much more involving and animated.March 18, 2014 at 5:43 am #43145BonbonParticipantthey bring on these older people…Florence Henderson, Buzz Aldrin and now Billy Dee. I also don’t understand why these people would subject themselves to the humiliation they are bound to get. The judges are obligated to give them low scores because of low performance. And Len is never too kind with his criticism. When you get that age, you just physically can’t move like that anymore…trust me, I know only too well.
March 18, 2014 at 12:28 pm #43149PattiParticipantand seems to be much more involved with all there is to the job than Brooke ever was, who seemed to say the same things over and over.
I cannot get over the young lady with two prosthetic legs, the para-olympian who won a bronze medal at the Sochi Special Olympics. If they didn’t show her interview before-hand, I would never have known she did not have legs below her knees until they showed her feet. What a beautiful and brave young woman. She held her own with Derek as well, and that can’t have been an easy thing to do.
So glad to see Maks back, and paired with Meryl Davis. She’s going to do well. All the ice skaters seem to do well, since choreography is a normal part of their daily routine when training for their sport. Charlie did terrific as well.
Can’t wait to see how this ‘switch partners’ is going to work, especially since they are selected by the at-home voters. I think that’s what I understood.
March 27, 2014 at 10:20 pm #43227caseyParticipantObviously his fans came to the rescue. I’m certainly not surprised about Diana, and Sean Avery struck me as very cold and smug.
March 27, 2014 at 10:27 pm #43228PattiParticipantlove him as an actor, but the poor man looks like he’s dying on his feet with nearly every step. He does have a bad back, though …. so why even accept the invitation to be a contestant. I can’t see him lasting too much longer. But when you’ve got Hollywood behind you with the votes, who knows how long that may be????
April 1, 2014 at 3:13 am #43265caseyParticipantI’m so glad I tuned in this season as tonight was a real delight. I don’t think any season has shown so much talent, particularly those with little or no dance training. I’m glad Maks has a partner in Meryl he can truly shine with.
Billy Dee had to pull out. Not to be mean but didn’t he know this was coming from the getgo with his precarious health?April 1, 2014 at 10:16 am #43266PattiParticipantwhat a heart-filled, heart-grabbing night. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, brought their best dance and a lovely story to go with it. I’ve never seen so many tears, even in the audience. Wow, what a fantastic bunch of contestants this season. So much talent. If I were Billy Dee Williams, I would have pulled out, too; although, I’m sure his body just couldn’t take it. I’m with you, casey, on rooting for Maks. It’s about time he got THE perfect partner. Meryl is truly a joy to watch…as graceful on the dance floor as she is on the ice. I hope they go all the way this season.
