Meryl and Maks so deserved this. But a three hour show is so bloated – two would have been more than sufficient.
I don’t know how this season’s talent can ever be topped!May 21, 2014 at 1:33 pm #43842dvalParticipantI’m glad they won. Three hours was WAY too long. I didn’t watch the first one, just tuned in for the last 2 and even that went on too long, IMO. but it was nice to see the eliminated contestants back again. And you are right. I can’t imagine how they will top this season.
May 21, 2014 at 2:57 pm #43847PattiParticipantbut I think I cried more when they won. Never, have I ever, in the history of DWTS, believed ANY couple deserved to win more than Maks and Meryl. I watched the four final couples all on Good Morning America this morning and they all seemed to be very happy for the winners, especially Derek. Maks and Meryl continue to give credit where credit is due, and that is to each other…him to her and her to him. Sooooo happy for both of them. Great job and I agree …. best season EVER!!!!
May 21, 2014 at 3:18 pm #43849caseyParticipantPeta/James have something going off camera but what about Maks and Meryl? They were pretty cagey when Robin Roberts probed on GMA today. You’d think if they were truly just friends w/great dance chemistry why not just say that? But they both sidestepped the issue.
May 21, 2014 at 8:46 pm #43856BonbonParticipantit would probably be very difficult but wouldn’t it be great to have all the winners come back and compete against each other? They had the Allstars but they weren’t all winners. There are 18 so even if they got only 12 back, they’d have enough for a show.
May 21, 2014 at 11:52 pm #43862PattiParticipantbut from what I’ve read, she does have a long-time boyfriend ….. well, maybe not now!!! LOL!
May 21, 2014 at 11:56 pm #43863PattiParticipantbut Derek’s won 5 times, and some of the other stars have multiple wins, so it would be tough to keep the same partner they won with.
May 22, 2014 at 6:13 am #43870BonbonParticipantnot the pros. How could the stars have multiple wins? I didn’t say the same partner either.
May 22, 2014 at 3:56 pm #43878PattiParticipantwho danced with the same pro when they won. Guess we’re not thinking on the same wave length here. Maybe this will explain what I mean:
Season: Star/ Pro
Season 1 – Kelly Monoco/ Alec Mazo
Season 2 – Drew Lachey Cheryl Burke
Season 3 – Emmitt Smith Cheryl Burke
Season 4 – Apolo Anton Julianne Hough
Season 5 – Helio Castroneves Julianne Hough
Season 6 – Kristi Yamaguchi Mark Ballas
Season 7 – Brooke Burke-Charvet Derek Hough
Season 8 – Shawn Johnson Mark Ballas
Season 9 – Donny Osmond Kym Johnson
Season 10 – Nicole Sherzinger Derek Hough
Season 11 – Jennifer Grey Derek Hough
Season 12 – Hines Ward Kym Johnson
Season 13 – J. R. Martinez Karina Smirnoff
Season 14 – Donald Driver Peta Murgatroyd
Season 15 – Melissa Rycroft Tony Dovolani
Season 16 – Kellie Pickler Derek Hough
Season 17 – Amber Riley Derek Hough
Season 18 – Meryl Davis Maksim ChmerkovskiyMay 23, 2014 at 9:22 am #43891BonbonParticipantI’m saying there were 18 winning stars. Each one only one once. Disregard who their partner is. In my idea they would be paired with completely different pros. Heck, even if they only got 12 to come back, I think it’d be a great show because it’s going to be really hard to top this season.
Season 14? Who in the heck was Donald Driver? I don’t remember him at all.
Thanks for posting all the winners. It’s fun to look back over them all and see just which pros have won. I’m surprised Louis Van Amstel hasn’t ever won. He is such a great choreographer.
May 23, 2014 at 5:31 pm #43902PattiParticipantnow retired, who played from 1999-2012 for the Green Bay Packers.
May 23, 2014 at 10:15 pm #43911BonbonParticipantHe must not have been very impressive because I don’t remember him at all, even now that you told me who he is.
