Any comments on the new season? As usual some I never heard of. Geraldo? Don’t know how he’ll do. I’m interested in football QB Doug Flutie because he played for my Bills and is super competetive. I see weathergirl Ginger has Val for a partner. Must mean she’s got potential!
March 11, 2016 at 2:54 pm #51087BonbonParticipantSome I don’t know, some I wonder about, but in the end, we always grow to have our favorites and some surprise us. I’m expecting a good season as always. I love this show.
March 22, 2016 at 1:38 pm #51214caseyParticipantSome pretty good prospects. Love the deaf guy – so impressive and watchable. However, the ones who are bad are really bad. Rivera is downright painful to watch, hardly moving. Flutie is very stiff. I missed Misha Barton but Len was brutal in his comments.
March 22, 2016 at 3:06 pm #51219BonbonParticipantshoot him and put him out of his misery. He is SO bad it almost looks intentional. Of course he will have a big following and stay around forever.
I like Nyle, the deaf guy, too but I wonder how long he can compete without being able to hear the music. In spite of what they said about Marlee Matlin, she DOES have some hearing. She has claimed that on many occasions.
Too many football guys this season. And I’m glad to see Pita back. Who did she marry? Was it Maks? I can’t remember now but I think it was (happy for her but sad for us!). And would someone please take Mark to a qualified barber. It seems like every season he has his hair cut in some horrible concoction. He is a decent looking guy with a regular haircut but it seems like he is intentionally trying to look ugly. I miss Derrick but I guess he’s got bigger fish to fry now, he is well on the road to success. I doubt we’ll see him again unless it’s like his sister as a guest judge.
Glad to see Len back but he was pretty brutal last night. He can give criticism but it doesn’t have to be so hurtful. Although he could have used some of that on Geraldo!
All-in-all, looking forward to this season…as always. :o)
March 22, 2016 at 3:11 pm #51221dvalParticipantthrough his sign language interpreter the fact about Marlee Matlin having some hearing and him having none. I’m really glad he can dance though because he is certainly worth looking at, LOL!
Didn’t see the whole show but frankly I didn’t see what the raves were for Ginger Zee…she was okay but mostly personality as far as I could see.
The guy from the boy group, Wanya?, was good. Mischa Barton…well I don’t know what she expected from a dancing show but she certainly ranks right at the bottom.
Missed Geraldo though evidently didn’t miss much. I hate when they put these older people on only to give them the worse comments just to get them out early. Why bother if you don’t want them on the show?
March 22, 2016 at 3:41 pm #51222PattiParticipantbut I did like Marla Maples a lot, who is still a graceful, gorgeous woman and very agile for someone in her 50’s. She must take very good care of herself.
Heraldo is a joke, who I never thought to be funny, and why they keep putting these 70-somethings on the show I will never understand. They don’t stand a chance, but some of them are at least entertaining.
The men that I do think have promise are Antonio, Nyle and maybe Wayna. And I love seeing the football players doing something completely out of their wheelhouse. I think Antonio may go farther than expected; Doug Flutie may be a dark horse because he is a perfectionist and very determined to "get it right;" and I think Boyz 2 Men singer, Wayna, was pretty good for his size and kept pace very well with Lindsay, who I love.
March 22, 2016 at 10:29 pm #51228caseyParticipantis engaged to Maks (not sure they’re hitched? I thought it was Whitney who married?)) – now there’s a striking pair! Should be whopping dance genes there. There was a piece I think on one of the entertainment shows on them and they are really in love. Hope it stays that way.
March 23, 2016 at 1:41 pm #51238BonbonParticipantthey ARE married. I’m surprised nothing was mentioned about it. Maybe Peta and Maks don’t want the publicity…although it’s be hard to believe that of Maks. :o)
March 29, 2016 at 1:01 pm #51273caseyParticipantRivera being cut was the biggest no brainer ever. I truly do not get Mischa Barton. She acts as if she doesn’t want to be there and has an attitude that is baffling to me. Why did she sign on? Her poor partner having to put up with her crap.
March 29, 2016 at 3:00 pm #51274PattiParticipantthat Geraldo Rivera was sent home early. At least this time around others will not have to pay for having to keep him around.
March 29, 2016 at 9:46 pm #51278dvalParticipantthat I googled them and no, they aren’t married yet. Where did you see that they were? There was an article, one of those stupid things, asking Peta if Maks was jealous of Nyle and it said they hadn’t married yet.
March 30, 2016 at 12:46 pm #51282caseyParticipantit was Whitney who married?
March 30, 2016 at 2:04 pm #51283BonbonParticipantprobably Entertainment Tonight. I could be mistaken but my though was it was strange we didn’t hear about it when it happened. I sometimes watch that with only one eye open (I only watch because it comes on before Jeopardy) so I could very likely have missed what they said.
March 30, 2016 at 2:55 pm #51285dvalParticipantMy favorite!
March 30, 2016 at 10:27 pm #51291caseyParticipantWatch it every night. Now speaking of class Alex Trebek is the very model of it.
