I thought everyone did a much better job last night. Three weeks in certainly does show improvement overall with the dancing, some, of course, more than others. For instance, I could not stand Rob Kardashian, but I thought he did a good job last night with his Foxtrot and the way he moved (or Cheryl taught him to move) to Fly Me To The Moon.
I thought, as usual, that Chynna and J.R. were the best on the night, even though Rikki Lake is creeping up on both of them at an extremely fast pace. I loved how she moved last night, and Derek has improved her skills leaps and bounds over some of the others, who still just can’t get it.
I thought Hope was going to be much better than she appears to be, because of her athleticism, but there still seems to be an awkwardness with her moves, although last night she did a much better job. Maks is working miracles with her.
The best thing about last night for me, though, was the way they told their stories with their dance and their music. I just loved that. J.R. had me crying, as did Nancy Grace with the way her children almost drowned inside of her and they had to ‘cut them out’ quickly. Wonderful themes and wonderful stories last night. Very emotional show, and the pros and the stars each, in their own way, did a beautiful job.
Who’s going home tonight? My guess would be Chaz Bono. As much as he is humble and sincere and really, really trying, he just cannot move well enough to compete much longer. JMO.

As for last night, overall I’m with you Patti. No one is a clear standout, but all did improve. Hope just has a really hard time letting her body relax and bend. Of course, that goes against everything she does for soccer; but, she sure is trying. I was also impressed with David’s improvement last night. It’s the first I’ve seen him so serious and determined with more control over his body than in the past two weeks. I cried through the entire performance of JR. That song by Tim McGraw has always just broken my heart whenever I hear it. I’m rooting for Chynna, JR and Ricki at this point; but, do like a few others that are doing better each week.
I kept thinking last night that Cher should have been there to watch Chaz as she might not get another chance after tonight. I might be wrong because I have no idea how big his fan base is. Tonight’s elimination will be interesting.
October 4, 2011 at 2:06 pm #27057MKParticipantJR’s dance was, in my opinion, the most emotional dance they’ve ever had on the show. Not only does he move well, but his expressions of his true, raw emotions all the way through the song was extremely poignant. You could really "feel" the dance. I usually don’t care much for the rumba but I was blown away by the emotion of the dance from JR. He is a true hero which I think made the dance overwhelmingly touching.
October 4, 2011 at 2:07 pm #27058MKParticipantAnyone know why Cher hasn’t been in the audience at all?
October 5, 2011 at 12:14 pm #27095BonbonParticipantin the transgender community. I think they probably intentionall have been watching the show and voting for him because it gives so much attention to their plight.
And, yeah, I would have expected Cher to be there sooner.
As with everybody else, tears dripped off my chin when JR danced. I never really paid any attention to the words in Almost There before but, wow, I was really blown away by them, how poignent.
October 5, 2011 at 8:04 pm #27142DebbiParticipantCher has tweeted she is not there because she wanted it to be about Chaz not her, and she didn’t want to make him more nervous. She knew if she was there, she would steal the spotlight from Chaz and Lacey.
October 7, 2011 at 3:51 am #27204shadowParticipantSo Cher e-mails the" it" and says she will be coming to DWTS next week. She just did it to make it a GREAT BIG DEAL that she will be there. Why can’t she have just shown up and sat in the audience without any hoopla.
It’s all about PUBLICITY FOR THE CAN’T DANCE contestant.
What an EGO! She’s no better or greater than anyone else.
