OH – MY – GOD! Can you believe that? I was flabberghasted when it came to the final two. I just don’t understand that. Is it because she was a "bad girl" on TV or just doesn’t have the fan base? What a crying shame.
While I was waiting for the final announcement, I thought, I really didn’t care as much to see the girls go as the guys. I didn’t want to see either Maks or Mark go. Yet I thought both the girls (as Len said) had so much potential and would go to the end.
I especially hate losing Mark too as he is such a great choreographer and teacher. That was certaily a travesty.
October 5, 2011 at 1:36 pm #27100luckeyParticipanthis many transgender supporters as well as anyone who is a fan of Cher and votes for him through their admiration of her. I think we’ve all watched this show long enough to realize that it really does come down to the fan base more than the ability to dance….not fair; but, it is what it is!
October 5, 2011 at 2:28 pm #27106annieoParticipantI was really expecting Chaz to go. I really don’t know any of the people dancing this year except for what I’ve seen on the show, but they all seem to be pretty evenly matched. I would be hard pressed to vote any of them off. But as much as I like that Chaz is continuing so we can really watch improvement (which is really what we should be looking for) he has definitely been the weakest of all the contestants. I can’t help but wonder what’s going to happen when they do the group dancing. I feel sorry for him – it’s like being the unathletic person is gym class – no one will want him to be on their team. Carson showed improvement and his personality is certainly helping him. JR’s dancing has really been wonderful. I bawled all the way through his dance Monday night. I’m not sure I could be such a positive person given the cards he’s been dealt.
October 5, 2011 at 4:08 pm #27121PattiParticipantbecause Cher tweeted that if he made it through another week, that she would be in the audience next week. Although, at the same time, I’m certain that not only does Chaz receive the transgender and gay vote, but can you imagine the influence his mother has with his votes? Of course, she would never admit it, but I can’t help but see it that way.
I, too, felt so sorry for Maks and Mark. Len had no problems showing his disgust for the final two, but as long as they are going to leave the final decisions up to America, the winners of reality shows will be controlled by the fan bases rather than the talent, although in most cases a true talent will win in the end. It’s who goes home in between while trying to save an untalented favorite for as long as possible. Tsk..tsk.. I felt sorry for that girl, and I didn’t even know who she was, but she certainly was better than at least 3 stars I can think of who were saved last night.
October 5, 2011 at 6:36 pm #27139GrockieParticipantwas Chubby Checker and Len dancing The Twist. (Yes I am old and from that generation!!!)
October 5, 2011 at 8:57 pm #27146PattiParticipantand didn’t Chubby look wonderful? The guy just doesn’t age. Len is a terrific dancer himself, and I always like it when he goes into the rehearsals and shows the younger ones what true ballroom is all about. Great results show.
October 5, 2011 at 9:12 pm #27148BonbonParticipantthere wasn’t more of Len dancing. They way they touted it was that he would participate in the dance. He was on, what, five seconds.
But, can anybody sit still when they play that song? I was up twisting away with the rest of ’em.
Ah, they sure don’t make ’em like they used to. I just can’t imagine everybody jumping to their feet to dance to a Lady Gaga song.
