but I thought it was sort of amusing when Tom felt the need to clarify, in depth, how the votes were tallied and the breakdown and percentages between the judges’ votes and the home viewers. Seems the controversy was so strong this year over the elimination rounds that he or the network felt the need to make everyone understand how the winners were decided. Glad things turned out like they did, but I have to admit that secretly I was rooting for Kyle and Lacy. But Jennifer deserved it. Not so sure I feel the same way about Derek. He seems to be very lucky to pull the best dancers every season. Little tired of that.
when everyone spoke about the inequity of Bristol going so far, what about the inequity of Jennifer in the first place? She has a performance/dancing background and had more than a leg up. Bristol was an ordinary teenager with no such experience/exposure. I’m no Bristol fan but have to give her props for coming so far and apparently not letting the controversy crush her.
guys with the most potential but now maybe it is that they are strong instructors and really have a good sense of what will work for the contestants that they get?
As to Jennifer, she did Dirty Dancing a long, long time ago and she’s 50! Just to be able to compete with the younger more agile dancers says a lot to me.
